try a lot slower longer pull on it and make sure you have a hot battery...that may help

and there are plenty of cheap e-cigs you can try to get you started that perform really well...you can find some decent starter kits for $20-30...just look around at some of the threads here in this section for some ideas, links, reviews, etc

Oh yes! There are many options for you. I was a 2-3 pad smoker for over 32 years. I only just started vaping recently, so, I am not experienced enough to advise you, however there are solutions and someone with more experience will be along to help. I am down to 2-3 per day. I had never thought it possible. I plan on quitting whenever the day comes that I don't feel like needing an analog. Goodluck in cutting down!

Welcome hyper! I tried a lot of disposables and bought a cig a like kit. Less than two months into vaping, I've moved up to an ego style battery and tank system. I still use cartos, but the tanks are awesome. There is a wealth of info on this site. If you want a great starter kit that is simple to use, look into Smokeless Image. They have great customer service and very fast shipping.

You're not going to quit a 2-3 PAD smoking habit with a disposable. Start researching and asking questions on here to find something that will work for you.

Try doing searches on the Ego Twist, Vision Spinner and Vivi Novas. Watch youtube videos as well. Seeing things in action makes it easier to understand.

I use Smokeless image as well. they are great for beginners. I chose the largest battery they carry so that I would get a really good vapor. They do have excellent customer service. I would say that you should try them to start or get a variable voltage which is a step up from the type I got.

Here is a link to Smokeless Image : Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Here is another site that has the variable voltage type of battery is : ViVi Twist Starter Kit | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

As for cartomizers and tanks, they are delivery systems. They hold the liquid that delivers the vapor. I am still experimenting with the following styles: Mini Vivi Nova=tank style Clearomizer, CE4- a smaller clearomizer and Vision Nano a slim clearomizer. I like the clearomizers because you can see the amount of liquid left. A cartridge is opague can be found "blank" = no fluid or prefilled with flavor. Both are refillable. There are other methods and types that I haven't tried. Keep reading the forum as much of this information is here.

I think what you are gonna find is this is a real learning curve. I picked up a finiti disposable the other day and I thought it was the nastiest thing I had ever smelled/used tasted. I've also seen people on here who love them. Just like with smokes, everyone has the preferences. I am still new to this, but if you read through the forums here, and ask some more questions I am sure you can find what you need. People here are very friendly and helpful. Good luck to you!

Sounds like you need a pv and cartomizers.
Here's a pic with some sizes. These are Smokeless Image ecigs but the sizes are the same as others. The two on the left are ciggish size. The three on the right are what we call ego size. The bigger ones will last longer before needing a charge.

SI comparison.jpg
L-R: cig, 65mm Volt 280mah, 78mm Volt 320mah, 650mah X2, 900mah X2, 1300mah X2

The small ones will give you 2-3 hours vape time before needing a recharge. Of the big ones - the first will give about 6 hours, the second about 8, and the last about 12 hours vape time. This is measured in the mah of the battery. 100mah = about 1 hour of vape time.

A cartomizer is the piece you screw on to the ecig. It contains an atomizer - which has a coil. When the coil heats up it vaporizes the juice. The filler in the cartomizer holds the juice and supplies it to the coil. Cartomizers can be refilled very easily.

So I think for starters you might want to look at what size ecig you'd like, and buy either some prefilled cartomizers or some blank cartomizers with some small bottles of different juices to try.

Ego battery simply how battery is threaded. There are many different styles but from what I have seen the main three are ego, 808D, and 510. There are others, but these 3 seem to be the most common. Smokeless Image products uses 808D. There are adapters for all to interchange so what really matters is what you will feel comfortable spending and what appeals to you.
