Saving money is definitely important, as is taking advice from people with experience, but so is feeling comfortable with what you're buying and not getting something that you feel is too complicated/overwhelming for you. I started with a decent 808 cig a like kit, and ended up upgrading pretty quickly. But at the time if you told me that in a few months I'd be walking around with a fat batt and a clearo I would have called you crazy. Its a really personal decision. Take suggestions (you came to the right place for advice!), do research, and think about what is most important to you in a device (battery life? size? ease of use?). Fact is, if you stick with vaping, at some point you're gonna end up buying some stuff that you're not thrilled with or you "grow out of". Small price to pay for you're health though!
Sorry for the rant. You may want to look in to an EVOD kit. I love mine. You can find them for around $45. They come with 2 EVOD batteries, 2 EVODS, extra coils, and a charger.
