Hi everyone, I've finally I've got enough posts to post in the UK forum!

I'm a newbie vaper and an expert at quitting cigs..lol. I know if I get a decent PV I'll be able to quit for good, but I need some advice on what to buy.

After doing some research I came across the Halo Triton, but the general opinion (in the thread I started in the new members forum) is that the Triton isn't a good idea due to the incompatibility with other products and the shipping costs to the UK.

I've read tanks are the way to go in terms of quality of vaping, amount of smoke, flavour and cost?

I would like to invest in the best PV possible and I don't mind spending a good amount of money...

What I'm looking for...

-Feels and looks like a quality product
-Can buy replacement parts in the UK (or cheap worldwide shipping)
-Is not too large to take out and easily fits in my pocket
-Has a few hundred puffs before recharging
-Produces lots of vapour
-Very reliable
-Brings out the flavours in the liquids (I've read that some do this better than others?)

Desirable but not a necessity:

-Compatible with other e cig accessories

I'm not sure if I should consider a variable voltage PV, I assume these are for heavy vapers that want a stronger hit?

I don't really have a budget...

I'm open to any ideas!

Thanks for your help :)

For variable voltage:
Semovar or Provari would be the best battery tube, semovar is about £180, Provari about £160.

Semovar is modular so you can run it with a big battery or a small battery, Provari comes in full size or a mini version.

On top of that you would need to buy battery, charger and a tank system. Tanks/Clearo's range from £10 protanks to £120 Kayfun 3.1. Batteries are about £10 each and a charger is about £20.

If you just want to try out a cheaper mod before throwing down nearly £250-300 on the very best and don't mind waiting a couple of weeks for delivery try a Vamo and a Protank. Less than £50 for the lot
Vamo

Protank
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005164/1424412-kwx10-protank-e-cigarette-atomizer-2-8ml

However, I am not sure how pocket sized these would be. For smaller I would go with an Ego twist or Vision spinner with either a Protank or an Evod.

I agree with what Ref Minor said... if you really dont care how much you spend get a provari or a semovar as your battery mod.

For tanks / clearos, etc then kayfun do seem to come out top of the pile although (i think?) you would need to learn to wrap your own coils to put on these so if you are brand new to vaping it might take you a little while to get the hang of it (I've been vaping for about 9 months, 3 months of that vaping only, and i am only just about to start wrapping my own coils). So maybe a protank or a vivi nova tank is better suited to you at the moment. these vary in price from £10 - £17 from UK-based vendors but are much cheaper on fast-tech, although you will have a longer wait as said above, and there are problems with the post over in China/HK at the moment so could be longer than 2-3 weeks. Both the protanks and vivi novas have replaceable heads you can buy (about £8 for 5 and last maybe 1 - 2 weeks per head), but again cheaper from fasttech.

Anything like a vamo, sigelei zmax, evic, lavatube is a cheaper entry into good VV/VW battery mods and there are lots of UK-based vendors offering different body only or kits to choose from, plus there is the option of ordering one from fasttech too.

Here's a link to a list of good UK vendors that Chrissie kindly posted - i personally use vape escape a lot and find them fast and accurate with excellent customer service when needed.

http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboar...-vendors-discount-codes?page=1&scrollTo=23191

If i had known about it when i first started vaping, i would have got this kit (link below), a protank & a vivi nova totalling about £60. You then get a decent selection of tanks / cartos to try out, all the other bits you need (apart from juice obviously but thats down to personal taste more than anything else) and can make a better decision on the mod that's right for you after a bit more research and getting information off here. Dont worry, when u do get a mod you wont have wasted your money on the rivas either - i still use my vgo2 batteries when i am off out somewhere and dont want the larger mod with me, and you could always pass them on to someone you know who is just starting out vaping too, and help them get off the fags.

Vape Escape Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit [VE151] - £34.95 : Vape Escape

If money really is no object, buy them all and see if you can pay someone on here to wrap your coils for you! ;)

-Is not too large to take out and easily fits in my pocket (very pocket friendly)
-Has a few hundred puffs before recharging (yes)

-Very reliable (ultra reliable)
-Brings out the flavours in the liquids (I've read that some do this better than others?) (with an RM2 and micro coil it's the best IMO)

Lots to think about. I shan't try to answer too many....however....

You should definitely get a VV/VW device. I'm a light vaper and would not be without. :)
I messed around with plain eGo batteries for months and then bought a Spinner and realised I had been missing out.

The "real" question with wanting the best is going to be the atomizer.... I don't care it I vape with a £60 eVic or £22 Spinner or old school lavatube, its the atomizer that counts.

Put a Kayfun or Spheroid etc on a decent battery, and you are sorted. Personally, I don't have time for such things... so just vape with whatever the current best clearomiser is.

- - -

By the way, if I was to be total troll about things, the suggestion that anything from Halo or similar "all-in-one" brands could be the best is about as far from vaping nirvana as I could possibly think. The best vaping gear requires some experimentation and expertise in setting up the atomizer. If you don't want to get into these things now (I don't) then maybe just buy a Provari and a Protank II.

I have had four deliveries now codz from Rob and they have all taken four days + 1 or 2 if there was a weekend in the middle.

They have all been tracked so you can follow them as they pass through each sorting facility.

I think shipping on the Reo was approx £20. (Maybe £30, I will check my bill)

I spent quite a lot on my mods and atti's before the Reo but have not spent anything since getting the Reo except on an extra RM2 and a few spares.

I see the original purchase of I think about £170 for the Reo, Atomizer, Spares and postage as excellent value.

The only problem is that most of the guys on the Reo forum go back for a second or third one but I have just about resisted that so far but if I can be bothered to advertise my other mods I will undoubtedly buy another one or two.

Really informative replies guys, thanks so much.

Lots to think about, I will do some more research this weekend and let you know what I decide.

I'm thinking of getting a VV spinner and tank for when I go out, and then probably a REO for using at home. Is the REO classed as a drip feed? I keep reading that drip feed ecigs produce the best flavour and amount of vapour.

Paul, why would anyone buy a second or even third REO?

The Reo is a bottom feeding mod flavourful.

The juice is fed up to the atomizer from the bottle at the bottom with a small squeeze (squonk)

It combines the flavour of a drip fed atti, which IMO is the best, along with the convenience of a tank system.

If you get a spinner with a tank and a Reo with RM2 I will be surprised if the spinner is not gathering dust within a week.

You can get a VV Grand but I prefer the mechanical Grand and then just build your coil to suit your battery.

I was going to list lots of reasons to justify a second or third Reo but if I am honest it's just because I am enjoying it so much that I want another one in a different colour...... :)

About £155 then depending on the exchange rate and received within a week - that's pretty decent. The problem with the Zenesis sidewinder i looked at was the postage really... not tracked once it leaves the USA and even then, apparently its only courtesy tracking!

That price certainly compares favourably with some of the other mods i've been looking at over here. I only bought my first mech about a week ago, and the wick and wire only just arrived today for me to start building my own coils so hopefully by the time i get around to New Year it will be time for another one, and i hear nothing but positive about the REOs. Cheers for the info :)

If you decide to go for the Reo flavourful and you want to PM me your address I will send you some different pre-made coils to get you started and experiment with.

Legend...I think I'll have to take you up on that offer :) Just to make sure I understand...the pre-made coils would fit into the RM2 or any other RBA?

I'm starting to think I should just let you guys choose for me...you obviously know best...

I'm leaning towards the REO grand, but I'm thinking that I might as well just get the VV one, might want one down the line and if I'm going to invest £££ I might as well spend a little extra and get the VV version.

How would the Innokin MVP compare to a REO?

I'm sure you're right, a VV spinner won't be used at home, but I'll use it when I'm out. There doesn't seem much biase towards any particular spinner, people have recommended loads of different products?

1. Vamo V3
2. Vape escape Riva
3. Vape Escape Vision 1000 Ultimate
4. Spinner/Twist Ego VV Tank Combo
5. Innokin iTaste VV

And then I should be getting tanks separately too...?

This is so complicated!

If you don't mind ordering direct from China and waiting 2 or 3 weeks for delivery then this is very reasonably priced vs UK suppliers. If you got 2 of the batteries and both the clearos you would be looking at about $50 or around £33 and would have 2 working ecigs.

If you want to get them from the UK you would be looking at about £75 I would guess online although you would get branded batteries.

There are lots of good reasons for getting any of the equipment mentioned in the rest of this thread.

Perhaps the best reason i can think of not to get something like a REO straight away is that it's a pretty steep learning curve to start out on, but maybe more importantly half the fun of vaping and one of the reasons that maybe keeps so many of us off the analogs is that it's nice to experience new mods / tanks / attys, etc and if your first one is a REO then it doesnt leave a whole lot of room for improvement.

Definately in full agreement with Codz, I'v been vaping since February and only recently have i got into mods and rebuildables, there is definately a very steep learning curve even without taking safety into consideration. Enjoy the easier stuff first and concentrate on giving up the stinkies, then you can do the research and climb up the ladder.

Personally i would go for a Vamo or something like an eVic with maybe a Protank 2 or eVods. With either of those you can stick almost anything on top, and they are transportable aswell, thats the learning curve. One thing i learnt very early on, do not scrimp on batteries and charger and learn about battery safety.

Just my opinion.
