So I decided to try rba genesis again. I'm using a bliss with #400 mesh and 32g wire. But I keep getting a bad werid spot on the top coil and it burns the wires off from each other and throws a OP on the provari. It was working fine the first time and decided to change it to better fit the ohms I wanted for 3.7v. I'm pretty darn sure that I oxides the wick good enough and my wraps look fine but I just can't get this to work. Some god bliss me!:)

The Bliss has a screw type top connection, which I really like, as compared to those tiny knurled nuts that a lot of other RBAs have. But you have to be careful making the top connection. If you wrap around the screw clockwise, you can pull the top wire when you snug the screw, causing it to dig into the wick. This can cause a short. The way I connect mine is to wrap the wire around the screw counterclockwise, and don't over tighten the screw. This will prevent putting too much tension on the top coil wrap.

I have been having a heck of a time with this with my DID. I've had a pretty good coil on it that has been working good for a week or so and decided to recoil it this morning. Instead of wrapping the top wire around the post clockwise, I tried counterclock wise this time. when I fired it up, all the coils immediately glowed evenly! No 30min spent trying to get the tension right on the pos post! I also, for the first time, wrapped the coil directly on the wick without it being in the wick hole, then inserting the whole thing in the hole and attaching the wires. This is the first time I've managed to recoil without having to do a bunch of adjusting! :D

So it works alittle bit better after I tried something different but still not working to the point where I can use it. As I fire it up what is making the juice pop all over the place?

Don't add juice until your coils glow absolutely evenly.

Put it on your Chi_you and pulse lightly. The Provari likes to throw errors when setting up a genesis coil and makes everything more difficult. Just pulse over and over while adjusting the coils. It usually takes me no more than a few minutes of that to get an evenly-glowing coil. Use a partially-depleted battery if possible -- it's not as easy to pop the coil if the battery isn't fresh off the charger.
