Best Wick and Coil setup?

Ok, I've been reading way too much here and my eyes are getting tired. What works best? I'm currently using 32g on 400 mesh and it works well. I just want to know whats best.

S/S mesh wick that is solid or hollow?
Kanthal wire size? 28 or 32g?

It's just a matter of opinion. You know the old saying about opinions. If what you're using works well, that's what counts. The best thing to do is experiment.

I just ordered some from OKC vapes. Steam monkey also has it Kanthal A1, 28awg Resistance Wire, 3ft.

I quite like 30awg kanthal-a1, 5/6 wrap, seems to come in around 1.7ohms on average.

Wrapped around a relatively tight #500 wick.

All in my AGA-Ts.

Able to vape vertically all the way down to the trough in the bottom, no dry hits.

But as mentioned above, to each their own.

Much lower resistance with the same wraps.

I like 2Ω to 2.5Ω. I'm using a did clone with a 3/32 wick. How many wraps will it take to get me at 2Ω? Might be difficult I think

Might be best to stick with 32g if you want 2-2.5ohms, or maybe give 30g a try. Most of the people I see using 28g are running .8-1.2ohms.

I have 30g to try next. I was just curious about the 28G. I'm trying to find that comment about 28g tasting better.

Just great... I wonder if I could try 28g on my 3/32 wick? How bad would it be to have a lot of wraps?

if you do it properly, more wraps with 28g kanthal is going to be killer. I used 32g for a long time and finally just got 50ft of 28g from RTDvapor. the flavor truly is MUCH better and pronounced then 32g. id say 30g would be better flavor too, might be your best bet considering you want your ohms to be around 2 - 2.5. or you could experiment and find out that you would enjoy low res a lot more. that's how I was. I always had my provari and my DID clone and would try to get higher resistance so I could put the vv to use around 5 to 6 volts. but in the end, im vaping my orion at around .9 - 1.0 ohm and it is by far better then any other set up ive had. BUT, I never tried 30g and im sure you could get a killer 2.0ohm set up going if you practice and get it right.

I just rolled my wick with 30g wire, 7/8 wrap and I'm at 1.6ohm"s. Uggggg!!

I am using #400 mesh with 28g Kanthal on my AGA T2, wrapped 6/7 times and my ohms are at 1.3 at the moment, in my opinion the flavor is outstanding!

The only downside to 28 is that it is so thick. For me it's difficult to coil on my hellfire mini. The taste is good though on my s-dog. You really want flavor? Go on ebay and search for Kanthal ribbon and grab some .7 x .1 gauge for 10 bucks shipped. Best flavor hands down.

Its on a new non oxidized wick. With the 32 gauge I couldn't go over 3 volts with 5/6 wraps with my 100% PG. With the 30 gauge, I'm running at 4 volts with the flavor coming in slowly. I just don't get it
