Best Wick and Coil setup?

With the 30g, Im at 1.6Ω with 7/8 wraps. When I had 32g, it was 2.1Ω with 5/6 wraps.

what is the resistance of the 30g compared to the 32g you had on there before? how many wraps of 32g did you have before? and how many wraps do you have currently with the 30g?

It's not really a matter of opinion that a solid 500 wick works best, it's also backed up by science.

For my style of vaping, I really don't notice a difference between 400 and 500. As long as the wick keeps up with the vaper, is really all that matters.

ya, thats maybe just to many wraps for the 30g, it still should work though. but if you wanted to get better results with the 30g, try to take one wrap off. the resistance should drop to about 1.3ish, so your device should be able to handle it. i just find that 8 wraps is alittle to much.

Ya, I tried that and I still couldn't taste it. I went back to the 32g 5/6 wrap and its perfect. Do you think it might be because of my 100% PG?

no the juice shouldnt make any difference. i vape 100 vg as well. the only thing it can be is if your using a wick that cannot keep up or just maybe to thin of a wick. i use 30 and 28 all the time, but for the thicker wire i think the wick needs to be pretty solid. i have never tried the thicker wires with the un-oxidized method and not so solid wicks. i am not saying it dont work, i just never tried them with this set-ups. with an oxidized solid wick set-up there is no way that 30g will not perform at all, so something else is going on for it not to work. interesting.
