Why don't you try finding a happy medium. 36mg and then 0 mg could be the problem. Nicotine at these levels is like caffine. It's not a carcinogenetic substance. If you vaped 16mg or 18mg during the day, you would probably be hitting it less often. But if you are happy with 0 mg then what does it matter one way or the other.

more like 36 mg for every 100 mg.

1ml of juice weighs approx. 1mg. 36mg/ml would be 360mg for every 10mg of weight.
3.6% would be 36mg/100mg but that's a rough estimate. VG weighs more/ml than PG.
juice is not consistent enough in weight. That's why they don't designate mg nicotine/mg juice.

I'm not usually shouting around that nicotine is dangerous, nor do I tend to pick on someones mistakes, but if someone makes a remark "I use 36% nic" in a "New Members Forum", there's a solid chance someone new to all this would think 36% is a safe level of nic, and just puff away his 10% nic base made for dilution.

Yeah. Any day now I expect to see a new "how to stop vaping" industry emerge. Complete with self-help books, videos, hypnosis, etc.

I definitely vape a hell of a lot more than I smoked. But I'm healthier. I just need to figure out a personal vaping plan that will give me a steady (and not too high) dose of nicotine throughout the day. Cigs have it built in: Smoke a cig and it stops working when you've inhaled it all. Not true with vaping, though. There's an endless supply of juice, and no clear indicator that makes you stop.

I know I vape "more" than I smoked... I guess. My PV is always handy, I take a puff and then set it down, puff again... etc. I think it's a little hard to calculate or compare to smoking. When smoking, I would light one, smoke it, puff after puff... until it was gone. (I know...duh... like we don't know how we smoked an analog).

My point was, that even though it feels like I am vaping *more*, I am not sure it translates into "smoking more cigarettes than I did before I started vaping". I know that I don't get the "feeling" like I *need* a smoke anymore. Maybe due to evening out my nic intake... maybe due to ??? I don't know. I vape 18mg at the highest and 12mg all the time. Plus for me, I just really enjoy vaping a lot more than I ever did smoking... and up until 46 days ago or so... I LOVED to smoke. At this point in my journey, I don't worry about it and am just amazed and super proud of myself for not actually smoking anymore.

I've been wondering about this, too. I do vape all day long. Mine hangs around my neck, so it's always there, and now I don't have to go outside to get my fix, so nothing stops me. I've found I like the taste more than anything, but yeah, I'm using the heavy nicotine. I'm pretty much just expecting a lung to fly out Alien style, scare a customer to death, and die happy. LOL!

Here is a comparison of the nicotine in a "puff" of a cigarette to the nicotine in a "puff" of an e-cig. I'm not sure what analog was used, or what strength e-juice was used, although other testing on the site was done with 18mg. Keep in mind that this is not the nicotine in exhaled vapor, so you aren't getting all of it. Still, even if you were, this indicates that it takes 10 puffs of vapor to equal 1 analog puff.

Ecigarette mist harmless, inhaled or exhaled

It is not even necessary to inhale. The vast majority of nicotine is absorbed in the mucous membranes of the mouth, nose and sinuses. I've tried to start vaping like you'd smoke a cigar or pipe, minimizing inhalation, and I don't notice any difference. It tastes as good, or better, and it has to be easier on the lungs too.

It is not even necessary to inhale.

That is so true; I learned that from Bill Clinton. :) (I sure do miss that old horn-dog).

To the OP:

I've been off of analogs for 7 months - haven't had a single one, and honest to god, haven't wanted one - and for the first six months of that I vaped zero nicotine. (Yes, I am Superman, but don't tell anyone). But it slowly dawned on me that I was essentially punishing myself unnecessarily. There's a reason so many people kill themselves with analogs - nicotine is pleasurable. It also improves memory and attention/alertness. I've been vaping nicotine juice of between 16-24mg for the last couple of weeks, and I feel better than I have in years. Motivated, happier, more productive, less stressed, and just better all around. Nicotine by itself is just not very harmful at all IMO, and if you feel like vaping it all day, I say go ahead and do it. Life is far too short to be miserable for no good reason.

Happy vaping.

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about vaping all day since you are no longer subjecting your body to all the carcinogens and toxins that you were when you smoked. I have found that I vape pretty much the same way I used to smoke with the exception of when I am home. When I am at work or out in public I still go outside like I used to for smoke breaks and have to limit how long I am outside vaping as opposed to being productive. This is a policy I imposed on myself in order to stretch out how long a bottle of juice lasts me. When I am home though I pretty much vape casually all day since I don't NEED to go outside. That's just me though, if you are happy vaping all day and it isn't causing problems then there shouldn't be anything wrong with that especially since you are using 0mg liquid for the majority of your day. The only thing that might remotely be an area of concern would be using 36mg (3.6%) liquid first thing in the morning. Even so, it's still less nicotine per day for you than it is for those of us who vape at 12-18mg throughout the day.
