As I continue with polyifill testing (waiting for foam samples and polyfill order) I am looking for any difference in compresssion if I remove the polyfill that comes in the cartridge and replace it on it's side. I can test this better when I have sheets of material.
This becomes important in this household due to my wife's preference for the very dark juices, which seem to really compress the polyfill and leave some small amount of residue.
If I find a difference using the "removed and replaced" polyfill plugs I will report on this , but I think this will be best revealed with cuttings from a sheet.
Looking forward to more on the foam.
I walk off behind a curtain of vapor!

Morning, Vit! The foam is as you call it - sponge, does bounce back better after compression, but even foam will start to lose its springiness after a while, when juice sticks to it. I tried cutting them at different sizes, vaping different juice. I'm vaping 50/50 PG/VG Dekang right now and got it just right for my taste, does not leak, no condesation due to specific juice and just enough flavor but not burning through juice quickly.

When I tried the polyfill, one cart had little of it and the juice poured onto atty, as in LOTS of flavor (nice), but juice went down real quick. I like it to last a little longer.

When you get the foam later this week, cut it in half and it fits cups perfectly. Squeeze it lengthwise to fit into cup.

Exact one of what? The only clear carts I got are the ones shown in picture on page 4 of this thread, post #31 - Version 1. They came with white fill as shown in the second picture there. I replaced some with this (same I'm sending you, Vit):

https://strictlyejuice.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67_49&products_id=222&zenid=4dmvitu7eqm4hj484elp0862f4

Update: the blue foam is working very well with Dekang 50/50 juice (oily and thicker), so I replaced carts used for that juice with foam. Blue foam not doing great with TastyVapor + another PG combo juice, about 70/30 PG/VG total, too watery. More testing with this thin juice...

edit: it's not strictly PG/VG, but the brand and the exact juice that has different viscosity.

edit2: actually, the problem I'm having with thinner juice may be due to leaking from loose cup fitting. Many variables...

That's what I was clarifying... Which of the pictured was the one.
You are now giving me a "feel" for what I might expect...
My suspicion is that I will prefer using the polyfill for my juice... but Patty's darker juice may be a great candidate for the foam!
Thanks for the input.

While the blue-white testing continues, I noticed a few more things.

1. The plastic mouthpiece cap likes to fall out. Once it does, I leave it off. Someone reported they swallowed one a month ago, might have been a carto plug too.

2. That cap has a tiny hole on it that restricts airflow. When removed, the amount of vapor and flavor go up and juice goes down faster.

3. Not all clear carts are the same, some bigger and smaller. I have a bunch and found filler cups need to be paired with specific cart for best result. When cup is too big for cart opening, hard to pull off, could crack cart. When too small, juice comes out around it easier.

4. As is the case with most clear plastic, these are brittle, not pliable at all. No, I haven't broken one...yet. :p

The other thing about these clear carts is if you're vaping thicker juice, it acts a lot like a lava lamp.

I just cut a bigger piece of foam for the cart with thinner juice. It's working very well. It's just a matter of getting the right density of filling for various juice viscosity. No condensation so far, putting end cap back on mouthpiece to see...

Update: had some "renegade" polyfill and leakage issues. I'm switching to all blue foam, which I've grown to trust more. Peeling the glue off of filler was not a good idea. It's loose now and likes to come out of the cup to play.

Btw, one benefit foam over polyfill is foam is less likely to get tangled with bridge, probably why the glue to begin with.

I have been managing except for a single filament on a rare occasion to avoid tangling on the bridge, by tamping with the ball of my finger after a fill. (maybe I have just been lucky!)
I am going to experiment behind you, with foam, following your lead. I have been very happy with the polyfill myselff.. but I think Patty could benefit from what is being described!

Foam is more porous than polyfill, I think why it works better with thicker juice. Don't know if it'd make a difference on darker. We'll find out. You should get your foam tomorrow or Thursday.

Even with foam, it has to be "spread out" well. If it's rolled or bunched up in the cup, it'll still leak. So far so good on foam, takes getting used to filling that cup.

You'll love playing with it!

Btw, remember I mentioned lava lamps? With foam, when I put a new cart on without "priming", if it's not wicking, I give it some taps batt end down, like what I used to do with cigs. And little air bubbles rise from the cart...I know it's wicking.

edit: if you have a cone for you Jessy, Vit, have you noticed the taste is different with and without it? It's like that mouthpiece cap restricting airflow, makes vape warmer too.

And...clear carts + foam..it's all working...woo hoo ah ha ha!

I just tried the "hit" with and without my Jessy cone. I do hear an audible air intake without the cone (no surprise.. the vents are right there).. I also did notive a restrictive draw more with cone on (also makes sense)
I notice the warmth also..
Now I will have to go back and forth all afternoon to see which I prefer (I suspect with cone):vapor:

Edit;
Just tried the Ego with and without cone.. and found no air flow or resisitance change as with the Jessy.
