I do some myself still. I have bases and flavorings from China.. but I now buy only pre mixed.. and just add touches of flavor here and there.

I know cags had to "adjust" her filler to get it working right. I do too. Sometimes, it leaves gaps and juice floods and gets into air passage. Other times, it's completely stuffed and juice is not fed. Has to be just right. When it is working right, it's wonderful...I have the PV batt end down, give it a tap and see tiny air bubbles rising from the cup end.
The annoying part is when I turn a full cart upside down, no leak. Stick it in the atty and leaks. Wish I didn't have to adjust it. I think it was the same with polyfill.

I will feel bad if you end up hating them justa ! I may have a new reason my attys are suddenly flooding .... I searched around the forum yesterday and I guess attys can cause flooding when they are going "bad". and after reading about your batteries getting killed justa, I decided to put a new atty on one of them and the flooding has stopped in that PV (knock wood!). now I'll see if it continues to work well. I havn't thrown many attys away, I only clean them when they don't seem to be working well - I do use the heck out of them. I do have to fiddle with these carts, but I had to fiddle more with the regular carts.. and cartos just frustrated me, I couldn't even get them filled! so I think with vaping it's a matter of doing what bothers you the least. I suppose a reo or similar mod might make it easier, but I don't want to mess around with all the battery stuff. silly I know

I had the stock carts down, no flooding, fed well, but it took some experimentation. It's just a matter of getting used to the clear ones. For the ease of refilling and longevity, I'll make them work!
Why would you feel bad if it didn't work out for me? I learned it from "goodtimes" first, so it's all his fault. KIDDING.
Yes, dirty/old attys will flood because they just don't vape well anymore. I've used 4 Joye attys for 5 months now and can't seem to "glow" them completely when I dry burn anymore. Maybe it's time to get this 10 atty deal? Genuine Joye 510 electronic cigarette 10-pack of black atomizers, about $5 each, supposed to be real Joye.
Laura B. was kind enough to send me another Riva batt and an e-power to try, already in the mail. The cavalry is on its way! But I didn't drink enough water on the road and now my taste buds are gone.
All I can say is e-cigs are not cigarettes, not as easy but not that dangerous either. No mods for me either. Cigar sized is as big as I'll go. A rectangular thing just isn't the same.

when I lose my taste buds I vape unflavored only...why waste $$ liquid if I can't taste it but then I vape unflavored everyday along with my menthols... the only mod I want is a solar one.... for "OMG, the power is out" emergencies!

I managed to go a couple months without spending money on vaping, so much for that.The juice I use are all 15 cents/ml or less, so no big loss. Everything was beautiful just a couple days ago. Don't know what happened.

I like fruits, I tend to be attracted to(but let down by) baked goods. My main problem is that I can't taste most juices. I find it best(most flavor) on my atty instead of the cartomizers.
I don't know how you keep it from your husband, maybe when you're away from each other at work? And you'd also have to hide all that stuff at home. If he has a 510 type, you're all set.

yep- when he works. he falls asleep early. honestly, he is clueless about most things. we had a kitten for 2 months before he noticed. Its easy to vape in another room and no one knows. much easier than smoking. although I almost was busted when I picked up my son and he was like "whats that smell? it smells like roasted pecans and vanilla".
he definitely has a 901. he accidentally bought a 510 atty and when he saw it did not fit, we saw that his battery was a 901

This is how I fill Version 1s. There are no "cup clips" on this version.
You stand them up on mouthpiece end like stock carts. There's a little cup with polyfill on the atty end, remove that gently (I use tweezers), drip into juice chamber below, replace cup. Drip a couple drops onto polyfill in the cup itself to "prime" it. And you're all set.

I am sorry for blaming you for flooding my attys... it was the attys fault! everything is working well again after putting on new attys (I try to make things last as long as possible, beyond what I should I guess!) 2 of the SR attys I was using metered at 3.5 ! oops

Well, I'm using a brand new atty, my "emergency" reserve before new order gets here, and it still flooded with one cart and thick juice. It's the foam placement with me. So now I'm tailpiping as they call it (puffing without cart or drip tip).
That darn cart, when I take it out of atty and put it upside down, it does not leak. Only when pushed into atty.
When the new attys get here, I'm going to burn the heck out of my 4 old ones. If I pop one, too bad.

why do you say to use a shorty extension? I need one I think because I have a mega PCC but not all my "mega" batteries will fit in it....some are too short.
edit: oops I see the site tells you why! and boo hoo, I want a blue one like yours!
If Vitolo is talking about using shorty extension on the $10 Smoktech batt, it could be that some batts have longer and shorter threads for attys, and if too short may not make contact with certain attys. An extension makes sure it works with all 510 attys.

I couldn't get mine to leak by turning upside down either! so it is when the attys pushes it I guess. I carry my pvs around in an old cigarette case...so now I am putting the PVs in the case with the led up and I don't lay the case down, I prop it up so the led ends are always up... I also put them in a salt shaker when watching tv and stuff...also led end up. I don't know if it helps, but all is working for now. I've also experimented with the poly....poking it down into the 2 little holes...my thinking was that it would cause the liquid to go into the poly more slowly... I don't know, I am not mechanically or logically inclined...I may not have even explained that well
