Kia Ora! I spent some time in your fine country - mostly Wellington, the surrounding area, and a bit in Auckland as well. That's actually where I first heard of e-cigs - was friends with a flute-playing busker who used an EVO.

Glad you like them. Share the word, man.

Kia Ora,
Gratz on the well deserved sticky!

There's a light breeze, and a lot of irony.

I generally don't post pics of myself in forums. "MistressNomad" is all over the internet, but what she looks like is not.

I show my face on a forum for the first time in years, and wind up stickied at the top of the thread that every single person who joins ECF and wants to post is obligated to look at. It's just hilarious. So screw it, I made my avatar me as well.

If there is one thing I'd like my face attached to, it is e-cigarettes, and getting people started with them. So hurrah. And thank you.

Oh your in trouble now. They gonna ask you to be on the cover of vaping magazine ( when ever they decide to start publishing one) You will get voted vapor of the year. Hell they even gonna give you your own show on the vaping channel when they start that up on cable one of these days. You will be famous , just don't forget about us little people when you make it big :)

Just watched the new arrivals since I last checked them out. Such great info! I will be linking these to all my loved ones who are still poisoning themselves with tobacco. You're a life-saver, literally!

I really like your elastics trick for marking cartos, I was planning to use colored office stickers or something equally tacky, lol! It's a shame your original supplier isn't carrying the colors anymore, but I googled around and found an African Hair Products and Accessories shop online that is carrying them. You could also probably use small hair elastics in a pinch, just have to double them over.

In that case, I propose this to be the new banner at top of the ECF homepage! All in favor say "I". ;)

Thank you, Cassie. Well done! I join with others here in saying, "Good job!" Your efforts are well appreciated and highly useful. Videos help a lot - I agree with RedForeman, Java_Az, et. al.

Your videos will draw people to this thread and so I want to add the following: The CDC just reported that 46 million American junkies still smoke! Why isn't the CDC talking about e-cigs? I feel that my choice to switch from cigarettes to e-cigs is bigger than my private life. My choice goes beyond myself and is a vote for an effort to expose a terrible error that is being foisted upon an uninformed electorate. I urge all e-cig consumers especially former smokers to consider the importance of our choice! Every time someone asks me about my e-cig, the subsequent discussion usually shows the need for a pro e-cig media blitz.

Thank you, and I agree! I am hoping that my videos can serve as a "ramp" to help people make the mental leap from cigarettes to e-cigs. I think, in my case, switching was easier because I rolled my own cigs and I was already used to fiddling with stuff to feed my habit before I started with e-cigs.

A lot of people get intimidated because of all the mis-information they've heard, all the confusing model numbers, all the lingo in the vaping community, and the start-up cost. So hopefully, I have helped over-come some of those hills for people...

I hope no one takes this the wrong way. But in today's climate of litigation no entity government or otherwise is going to declare anything safe its not making enough profits from to handle potential lawsuits down the line. At one time, people considered analogs safe. How many drugs go through the multi-million dollar process of gaining FDA approval and later has to pull it from the market because its killing people? No one can say what the long term effects of vaping, even breathing will be. LOL

While I hope that e-cigs get more positive publicity, I'm not exactly looking forward to new taxes either.

In summary; e-cigs-yes, taxes-no. While I'm at it, I don't want to have to work another day. Somebody give me a few million so I can take it easy the rest of my life.:D

Super Star! Congratulations on the sticky. Good job.

Your videos should make it easier to get a Minneapolis meet set up: "Meet Mistress Nomad in person!" We might end up with folks coming from outside Minnesota! :)

Ha ha ha, oh god... I'm just a little vaper in a big vaping pond... I'm not even cool enough to like 5v. :D

. . . which is exactly why your advice / vids are relevant to newbies, who need guidance most of all.

For what it's worth, though, I think it's possible the KR808 may be "cool enough" for me going forward as well (I'm a fan of simplicity) so it was kind of reaffirming to see someone who's been at it a while and knows what she's doing enjoying life without fancy mods. Excluding your nice aesthetic touches, of course. Not that I, erm, will be making my kit as "pretty" as yours. Far too insecure-I-mean-manly for nail stickers and bejeweled tips. :)

So quit beatin' yourself up already.

You know, I think there are actually more people who don't like high voltage/mods than these forums would indicate.

Naturally, all the engineering geeks are attracted to a community like this with so much information and such a wide variety of people.

But I've met a few people from the forums. We are all just people who are happy to be off cigarettes, and while we do have certain "hobby" elements to our vaping experience, we aren't that interested in pushing vaping to the bleeding edge.

Not a single one of us likes 5v. We have all tried it, and it wasn't our thing. In fact, one of the vapers I have met doesn't even like to go as high as 3.7v. The 3.2v level of his 510/eGo is perfect for him.

He has his eGo batteries, I have my PCC's. So there's no real reason for us to get 3.7v mods - we have no battery life issues. And since we don't like high voltage, it's even more pointless to have a mod.

And honestly? I think that we are more representative of the average vaper than the modster with a 6v tank.

I just wanna smoke without smoking. And my little stock batts do that perfectly. I don't need "more."

So yes, there is life without mods. :)
