It would be quite easy to make and would make my life easier with the 6 tanks i have setup for different flavors. A spring loaded ring on it that you pull down to release the tank and to put another one on. You all have probably seen the bigger version on hoses and such I forget the exact name of them atm. I change flavors constantly and would be the first to order one. The locking piece would screw into the battery and the other into the tank, so sell the in pack with atleast one base and 3 or 4 tank attachments please XD

Nice idea, but the vaping industry has adopted the screw mount system. It would be extremely difficult to convince the manufacturers to change to a new concept.

I do like the idea though. Possibly the twist bayonet mount like the SLR camera lenses now use.
True, but the electronic cig industry has been constantly changing, because of this I can totally see a company running with something like this. forcing consumers to buy (more of) their product. I's a business strategy seen everywhere unfortunately.

I think your talking about a quick disconnect on a air hose? The reason this works so well is the air pressure. They do not work so well when there is none. I don't this type of connection is suited for electrical contact. The most comon and simplest electrical quick disconnect is a plug. There are a gillion plugs suited for mods but the 510 connection is pretty engrained. Im sure you could get some adapters for both your tanks and mod and just plug and go as you please.

Well. What about the quick connectors they have for coax cables?

I'm sure something like that could be made for ANY electrical connection.

Since any moving part can fail/break easier a separate attachment would be best so you don't have to replace the whole battery.

Also I wasn't talking about a pressure lock, the hose connection I was referring to was the one that has bearings that fit into a groove on the male end and when the spring loaded ring is released it pushes the bearings down into the groove to lock it in place.

Something like a RCA plug would be the easiest way to do it.

You could have a little adapter that looks like a tank airflow controller, but instead has a female (or male, however you want to do it. Generally the current end should get the female, though) Then there would be a little screw on attachment to the 510 connection which has a male RCA connector. Even easier to remove and replace than a QD fitting, and already insulated and designed to carry current.

I'm not sure how much current an RCA plug could handle though. There was a guy back in the day who made mods and atomizers which used RCA plugs for ease of changing heads, and I don't think he ever said anything about power handling issues. But then again, I don't think people were running the high power setups they are now back then.
