Blank yes, I'm sensitive. Respectful, too.

Sensitive much?
Was meaning more like "fat fingering" a key on the keyboard. But honestly words are what you make them out to be, nothing more nothing less.
Cry all you want though I really dont care.

But to the point the only reason someone else using the same exact setup just with sanitation tip can get said device to preform and you can't is if said fingers or something else is blocking the airflow.

Liberal conservative was all I needed to read. Walking away...

I think you got a classic case of the floating PV center pin problem? maybe? Your atty's pin might only be working right on this or that because the pin is here or there when its supposed to be there and here. Feel me? Fiddle with the center posts. Also, is it a carto or a CE5 that your using? If its a carto, use the flashlight to look down the center of the air tube, it could be blocked. Also check to see if the filler material is further down than usual. If its further down, it may have been sucked down from it being so old, and it may just be ready to be a tosser.

You have to put it facing east under a harvest moon. Then you have to dance around it naked and sacrifice a chicken to the vapor gods. Then all will be well.

And you thought it was going to be a tough technical answer hu?

Funniest post I've seen on the forum. ;)

I will do this.......
No really I have thought about the driptip being a problem! ive tried to put my "fat" fingers around one side got a little more vapor so I think ill go back to the store and see if thats the problem. Again thanks for the help

What happens if you change the carto?

After all the tank is just a tube with orings and the "Business" parts of vaporizing the liquid are inside the carto. I have had some cartos that just behaved erratically. I just toss them and start again.

I have also had some cartos that came out with am ohm number much higher than their advertized level. Those gave almost no vapor on my ego's but would work on my vamo. I realise the store tried on your battery so this is not an issue here. Just info for the future.

It takes some doing at first to figure out the right setup for you. In my case because I use thick juice (50/50) the prepunches on cartos are never enough. I have to add additional punches (how many depends on what brand/style of carto it is). It is a learning curve but once you figure it out you know how to set it up properly you get it right pretty much every time barring a badly made carto.

EDIT: LONG SHOT IDEA
Have you tried a plastic drip tip? I am wondering if you are not having some sort of short between the metal of the carto that gets carried through by a metal drip tip and your mouth. The store using a sanitary sleeve would eliminate the carry through to the mouth and end the short letting it work. DISCLAIMER: I am not an electrical expert this is just a brain fart and easy enough to test.

the o ring on the driptip wasn't making a good seal. I went back to the store and said I wanted to try it with the rubber tip on it and guess what? It worked great so they gave me a new driptip and all is good in the world!

I really want to say thanks for all the help... I never would have thought it would be that easy..

One thing no one asked: can you see inside the carto? is it moist enough?

It pays to read through the thread. The problem has already been solved as a poorly fitting drip tip. Changing drip tips solved the problem.

What threw me off was no mention of changing drip tips was mentioned before. OP said the shop owner had used a sanitary tip, which I took to mean using the same drip tip but with a sanitary tip applied over the top. Turns out, if I'm now understanding correctly, the OP's drip tip was removed and the shop owner replaced it with their own.

Yeah, those silicone thingees are meant to fit directly onto a standard size carto or atty. They wouldn't produce a seal on any of the standard silly shapes of drip tips.

omg what a let down.

spent the last 5 minutes reading every post and it's the DRIP TIP!!!!!

I'm glad you fixed it but maybe next time, say you had a shaman perform a curse reversal spell in a dingy moldy basement in spanish harlem, with chicken bones strewn across the floor and of course the obligatory pentagram made from the crushed toenails of dead nazi war criminals.

Just a thought.
