I need Help with my Batteries

Almost all "big" manufacturers discourage using their batteries for vaping. The only vape enthusiast brand, I believe, is Hohm Tech, as they even collaborate with vapers themselves.

However, as long as you use regulated mods or are well aware of Ohm's law, use intact wraps on mechanical mods (and preferably a device with a safety fuse), there’s no issue in using them.

Like Infinium said, all the makers use similar disclaimers. Too many were pushing the batteries past their limits cloud chasing, and having them blow up. It's a liability issue for the makers.

Battery guru @Mooch has always done vapers a great service in testing them. Check out his chart 18650 Battery Ratings and Performance Table and you'll find yours there. Don't push them over 8 amps and you'll be fine.

I don,t want to be rude But 8 Amps ist Like 900 wats, i think this is Impossible

When considering a Regulated Mod, the Amp Draw at the Battery, not the Atomizer, is what is Important. And for that you need to use Watt's Law when the Batter is at it's Lowest Working Voltage.

Here's is a site where you can plug in numbers and see what happens.

Anyway you slice it, a 8A CDR 18650 is at the Low End of the Performance Scale for a Regulated Mod. And Shouldn't be used in a Mech Mod.

Sorry i don,t Unterstand the Site i have 0,16 ohm und 40w.
Those are 18650 Batteries (3500mhp+3,7v

For a Regulated Mod, the Ohm of you Atomizer has Nothing to do with the Amp Draw at the Battery. It's the Watts that are Important.

On the Steam Coil site, Start withe these Setting...

Device Type: Regulated (APV)
Mode: Power Regulation (WW) _ 40w
Battery Voltage: 3.4 Volts (or whatever your Mod stops working at when the Battery is Drained)
Battery Capacity: 3000

Now Look at the "Battery Drain" section.

You can see that you that you are Way over 8 Amp when you vape at 40 Watts and the Battery is getting close to being Drained.

Play around a little bit with the Battery Voltage and see how a Fresh Battery / Lower Watts doesn't require as many Amps. And/Or why it is Recommended that people get 15A CDR 18650's or Higher .

Hang On a Second.

I just Realized you're using a 2 Battery Regulated Mod. So here is the Break Down for a Dual Battery Setup at 40 Watts..

40W/2 batteries = 20 Watts per Battery.
20 Watts/3.4V = 5.88 Amps per Battery.
5.88/.90 (the 90% regulator inefficiency) = approximately 6.6 amps.

So on a Dual Battery Mod, 40 Watts would be Ok with 8A CDR Batteries.

I'd personally look at getting some batteries that are closer 20A even 25 for higher wattage, 8a very low even mtl vaping which causes stress on the batteries even with a regulated mod

My personal battery choice is a molicel p28a

What tank are you using 0.16 on DL for a tank coil seems ridiculously underpowered which I worse for coil life as it's not heating internal mesh properly which causes the natural sweeteners in eliquids to crystalise and go black quicker. There's recommended wattages on coils for a reason

These are the new batteries I ordered. They have a "not for vape" warning on them. Can I still use them, or is it dangerous?

Plzzz Help me
Yes and yes. The problem, with “vape” batteries is they’re basically the bare cells used for power tools and suchlike. Good news: they’re not as dangerous as the lithium cells you usually use. Bad news: this doesn’t make them safe. Part of the issue is lithium batteries are never totally safe. Another part is the LiPo bag batteries used inmost everything else, are less safe. THEYRE actually a bit scary. I won’t put earbuds in my ears. I don’t put incendiary grenades in my skull. I’ll carry a vape battery though. Call me weird. The round batteries used inmost vapes have a plastic wrapper they use as an electrical insulator. This plastic is quite thin and isn’t really tough enough for regular handling. It has to be replaced occasionally. It’s shrink wrap so this is easy. A hair drier will do it. Replacement wrappers are cheap. If the wrapper is not in good shape though bad things can happen.

The whole “not for vape” thing is liability stuff. Read it as “if you put this in a vape it’s your lookout” and it is. Look out. This becomes especially clear when the maker is, say, “vapecell”. They do it too. 18650s & 21700s are not idiot proof. They are somewhat idiot resistant, but not idiot proof. Don’t be an idiot and you should be OK though.
