I started with vision Vivi nova about a month after I discovered vaping. I'm still a Vivi girl a year+ after finding them. I'm as happy as a ______ in ______. (Fill in your own words)

Find what works for you. Some people like to explore different options, others are happy just cruising along. :)
I'm a cruiser. :D

OP here.

To all. Yes, I guess I meant Top coil clearos, most specifically the Ce4 design, as I put the iclear16 into that same design category.

I prefer the flavor, warmth and vapor of top coil clearos myself. Although the original Vision clearos worked well, I found that the 2ml Bauway model with a removable drip tip works better, with long life and less leaking. The Kanger T2 at 2.2 ohms holds 2.4 ml and works very well for me as well. The T2 heads I've gotten have been consistently good, and last longer than any others I have used.

You are definitely not alone in liking top coil clearos. After going through cartos, rebuildables and bottom coils, they still work best for me. Next best thing to dripping on an atty.

This post...I guess I will have to try the Bauway's and T2's you mention. Hopefully the QC of them are better than the CE4's. I pulled another one out last night, filled it up with a juice I really like and almost barfed at the burnt rubber taste. I pulled it apart and looked down the head and sure enough, the coil was all the way over to one side touching the heat shield which I assume was the culprit. One more head into the 'tinker' pile. I do have a few more iclear 16's coming to hold me over. I have been very happy with those, although they do seem to go through juice alot quicker.

I also see several votes for a carto tank. To be honest, after making this post last night, I started to browse I B tanked. Still unsure exactly what to get there. I guess I am also leary of dropping over $20 on another device that I may not like. Ugh.

I also see a couple posts for the reo. I am not sure if I am ready for a box mod just yet...although I have looked at them.

Thanks for some tips. I was a 2pad smoker for 20 years, and have mostly been enjoying my vape and have been very happy to have made the 30 day mark recently tobacco free, but I am starting to get a bit frustrated. Hence, the post.

I thought that's what you meant.
I like the CE4 that's coil replaceable too, and the iclear16 as well. And the mini nova is OK for larger capacity.
I've got a few EVODs and while they make heaps of vapour (due to it's airy draw), it's flavour is definitely muted compared to the CE4/iclear.

Never liked the nova 3.5ml, not very good quality and muted flavour too. But got really good flavour from the mini novas. They're all just hit and miss with quality though (every brand, every model, TCC and BCC), need to buy 3-5 of them plus extra spare coils to really evaluate them.

I am also ordering T2 clearos to see if they are as good as the mini nova but don't have a fail/leak ratio as bad. If they aren't so great, then back to the iclear16s and leaky mini novas for myself, with EVODs used used for venturing outdoors (seem stronger in the pocket as they use the outer ego thread)

I am in love with the Artemas UDCT. It is a locking carto tank. If you want a quick look at it and the Smok DCT tank (which is similar but doesn't lock), look here: UDCT (Artemas) Tank Quick Look - YouTube
It isn't like a review, but it gives you an idea of what it is.
But these things are great with flavor and vapor production, with very little tinkering. I have had mine for over a month now, and they haven't leaked one drop.

Yes. This is exactly how I feel.

As an FYI on the larger size clearos. The iclear30 is not bad. Much better than the larger size Nova in a 'big' size. Comparable in taste imo to the mini nova.

Let me know how the T2's work out for you. I looked at the Bauways, but doubt I will go that route as they dont seem to be head replaceable, but now am looking at cartotanks.

If anyone knows, in regards to cartotank flavor, is it basically the exact flavor of using a standard carto not in a tank, but you just get the benefit of not having to refill it as often because it is in a tank? Or is the flavor using a carto tank better than just a standard carto? Does that question make sense?

hey, everyone has something they love,,,,,,

sometimes that changes over time,,,,,,,,

for the longest time, I loved just plain ol' cartos. No tank,,,,,,just cartos. But I'm a heavy vaper, and I went through them too fast,,,,,

Now I'm in love with the Vivi Nova,,,,,,,,,,,,but I just bought an Iclear30 because everyone (most everyone LOL) says how wonderful they are,,,,,,

who knows?? we'll see when it comes in :)

my point,,,,,,,

WHATEVER.WORKS.

That IS the bottom line, when it comes down to it. Whatever you like is what counts!

Carto tanks do give a better flavor, in my opinion, as each pull is like the first one on a freshly topped off carto - nice and wet.

I kind of enjoy working in both directions and have found a few trick with the Bottom coils that improves the vape experience.

Care to elaborate??? ;)

I have some flavors that are WAY better in my Protanks, but horrible in RDA or Carto Tank. I'm trying to find how to get lighter flavors to taste better on the inhale with Protank 2. Need some 500 SS and Ribbon Kanthal to rebuild the heads, but I'm curious what methods you have to improve taste for BCCs.

Carto tanks do require a little more fiddling to use and refill, and matching the viscosity of your liquid to the hole/slot size in the carto is important to ensure consistent flow. One of the reasons I like the disposable Bauway clearos is that they require no fiddling, are durable and cost almost as little as a basic carto. The flavor is less muted as well with my favorite liquids. As an example, my favorite RY4 loses it's caramel flavor in cartos while it's balanced in clearos.

Okay. You convinced me to give a few a try, especially since they are so cheap.

I do like the flavor of the ce4 devices, just not the QC of them on the heads...and leaking.

Thanks. :)

Do you have a US vendor for them that you prefer and get consistent results from?

At least it will give me something else to try while I learn a bit more about cartotanks.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Since the postman arrived yesterday with my new Hypertank, anything I may have ever said positive about Protanks is now null and void.

THIS TANK IS AWESOME.

Yes, it's heavy and tall (holds 5 ml!) and would be top heavy on an eGo type device (I'd use it, anyway), but it's solid and vapes like a dream with no leaking, no airy draw, no gurgling, no fussing and getting burnt hits (unless you let the juice get to the point of being nearly gone).

It's roughly half the price of a Protank 2 and uses the same universal heads.

I cannot tell you the extreme DIFFERENCE this tank makes in vaping. It's like night and day.

They have at least two styles:

I will be getting rid of my Protanks pretty soon. They simply cannot compare.

edit note: Yes, I HAVE been raving about this thing since last night but I had NO IDEA how different vaping could be. I am in no way affiliated with Hypertank or anyone selling Hypertanks or anything like that. I'd buy stock in them, though...lol

Will do!
I'm about to get a SVD and a few mech mods, so I've been looking for a clearo to get me by while I research and buy RDAs and RDAs and learn how to build them.
I'll get some iclear 30s to get me through the transition period based on your recommendation since we seem to have similar 'tastes'.

I've already got CE4s and iclear16s for the ego battery types I have, and I'm going to try some CE6s cheap on FT ($11.90 for a 7 pack of spring loaded coil replaceable CE4 types) to have spare for my ego batteries. If the CE6s are no good and the T2s aren't either then I'll get some more mini novas.

The iclear16s are no good on mech mods due to their skirting, plus it makes sense to me to have a small clearo that I can use on both the egos and mech mods if needs be and for flavor testing purposes, so I'm going to only look at ones with a male 510 connection and no skirting.
I will try a few protanks, but for me personally, top coil clearos and capacities below 2.5ml are where it's at. The ego threaded or skirted ones or BCCs are just for short term outside use and pocket storage and going out for a few hours where I can deal with the drop in flavour from the ejuices.
