I relapsed and I find it hard to go back to vaping.

Over the weekend my lava tube died and like a responsible vaporer(is that a word), I brought my ego battery. Wow, I remembered why I bought a vv mod in the first place. I eventually caved in and had a cigarette. Although the flavor sucked, I got a great dosage of nicotine. I used to smoke marlboro lights and I'm aware of the ammonium they put into the tobacco in order to absorb more nicotine.
So several days later, I tried to fight the urge to smoke again but I couldn't help myself. I'm trying to convert strictly to vaping, but in comparison to cigs just I'm not as content. I've ordered all kinds of flavors from all the different vendors (all of the top flavors) but they get boring after a while (I've stepped them, use the direct drip method, bought a vv mod), I read a ton of post on the forum to maximize my vaping experience. I'm trying to purchase a repairable atty as my last resort since I've heard so many good things about it. IDK maybe I'm doing something wrong in the process.

I guess the question I have is what should I do to make my vaping experience better than my smoking experience? I'm sure this topic has been covered but my experience may be different from someone else.

If you find the answer, I sure hope you share it. I have quit smoking analogs since Jan 2 of this year, but I still crave the stinkies no matter how much I vape or what flavor, strength, etc. I have an ego and with the cartos, I have no problem with getting huge vapor and TH, but it's still not a cig. The only thing I can say is it's mind over matter. As much as I want to smoke a real cig, I just won't allow myself to do it. I do have a beautiful daughter who had been begging me to quit smoking, and so that is a huge motivation when I look at her innocent happy face, but the desire to smoke still hasn't been quenched.

Don't beat yourself up about it and have backup PV's that'll do the job. I had to go to 5 and 6 volts to overpower the analogs. It took me a month and a half to quit, with plenty of equipment. Vaping can work for you if you're set up right!

Try more flavors, buy more gear?

Flavors - you need to figure out if tobacco flavors satisfy you best, or food flavors, or both. Some new vapers get analog cravings from food-flavor vapor. And some find tobacco flavors remind them of analogs and make them want one. Stay away from flavors that make you want to smoke. And rememebr to smell the vapor - most of flavor is in aroma.

What PG/VG were you using? Use high PG juice to let nicotine hit and flavor through best. I use 80PG/20VG.

And what kind of cartomizers (and if you didn't give cartos a fair try then you did not try vaping the way most prefer).

What I do to avoid boredom (beside buying lots of low cost mods etc) is I carry 2 models and alternate vaping them. They each have a carto that contrasts in flavor to the other. Each refreshes my desire for the other.

Ditto to what some have mentioned flavors, type of device that works properly with good battery life is most important.
Keep at it it may cost you some money but if you can afford to keep at it sooner or later you will make it.
Dont give up trying, i was a 2pad for nearly 40 years and been free of them after nearly 40 years and feel much better.
I just wish these devices were arond a long time ago.
If i can do along with many others there stands a very very good chance you can as well just keep at it.
I wish you the very best in your journey.

It took me 2 months of vaping and smoking simultaneously before I could drop the analogs completely. It also took me that long to find a device and juices that matched my tastes.
There is certainly no need to beat yourself up over switching back and forth between smoking and vaping.
You have decent equipment (Lavatube and eGo), so it's time to find juices you really like. It's subjective, yes, but you can still get good advice from others based on what you already know you like. Just ask.

BTW You were close with vaporer, but the correct term is vaper. A Vaper vapes a personal vaporizer. :vapor:

I like variety in my flavors. Three PVs used daily, 2 of them are almost always the same two flavors, the third sometimes varies day to day.

Get another VV or 5 volt mod, up your nic level (again, if you've already done this), try WTA, vape several flavors daily or however many different ones you want.

Drink lots of water to flush out the toxins and addictive chemicals that are in cigs from your system.

If you get the equipment and nic level sorted out for what works for you, your cravings will diminish or disappear.

If you get a craving, vape as much and as often as you want. Your body will tell you if you get too much nicotine in your system.

Tell yourself you are a vaper, not a smoker.

I signed up just to answer this thread.

Don't ever beat your self up. You cannot carry on with the battle if you're injured.

I started using the e-cigs 2 mos ago. End goal is quit analogs. I decided to work them in here and there gradually. I still smoke cigs, but 1/4 as many as I used to. I see that as positive since I'm actually starting to feel 75% better vs. 100% worse for failing a self imposed agreement.

As time goes by, I find more and more that I don't feel like going out in the cold, I'll just vape.

I don't want to pause this movie to go smoke, I'll just vape.

I only have 2 smokes left and its 8 pm little corner stores closes at....., I'll just vape til tomorrow.

I'm smoking less and less and feeling good about how long a pack of smokes lasts now.

Also starting to get very turned off by the dry crappy taste of real smokes and I expect to evolve fully to a vaper soon, but have no deadline.

Good luck with your struggle.

If you go back to smoking, can I buy your stuff?

Sadly, what you thought was a "good dose of nicotine" was actually a good dose of carbon monoxide...it kinds gives you a "rush and high" from the smoke. Most of us only thought it was the nicotine doing that but it's not.

I suggest getting a mod that has the capabilities of 6V with a box of Boge 3ohm cartomizers...even throw a tank in there for the cartomizers. 6V packs the punch that most e-cigs/PV's don't...not even the lavatube because the lavatube self regulates the voltage down to where it "thinks" it's safe to protect the circuit board. If you don't mind a box mod and still want VV, go here and contact JamesW...he builds some awesome mods that will do whatever you want and the voltage stays where you set it.

for the first few weeks into vaping..........i had a huge nic craving leaving work. An ecig just wasn't cutting it, so i smoked a cig. By about the end of the 2nd week, that craving was gone..........which leads me to believe that there are other addictive stuff in cigarettes besides just nicotine. The major trick for me was finding something with NO fiddling, and something that didn't take hours to configure before bedtime for the next day, or before I left the house to go somewhere. I bought a REO! yep, yep...........that took care of the fiddling part. Absolutely positively NO fiddling at all. Then I had to find juice. About 6 months into vaping a friend sent me a sample of some AVE sweet tart & that was it. I had reached vaping bliss!!!! I could stop buying from every single juice vendor!!!! & my vape was perfect every single time. I think everyone needs time to find their sweet spot & if we fall off the wagon in the meantime, so what.........? get back on the wagon then log into ECF & know that you've got the biggest ecig community in the world backing you up & are here for you to listen to your vaping frustrations, or even your frustrations because the sky is blue. PM me if you ever need some 1 on 1 advice.

I've used Rous and RY4 from vaperite but it doesn't taste good to me personally. Boba's bounty is pretty good but the flavor is lacking. I'm still trying to figure out my preference, but I do gravitate more toward a higher VG content, but not too high. As for attys I'm using 510s
