I see too many "don't want to take Provari to work" threads

So I thought I would grab a few shots of the only PV I take to work at the mill everyday. Its a pretty rough environment, but the way i see it: If anything is up to the challenge, its the Provari.

People who want their daily-use tools--be they machinist or woodworking tools, motorcycles, handguns or PVs--to look like they JUST bought them, despite using them for years, are more concerned with the looks and status of the object than it's utility and usefulness.

The occasional scratch, ding, finish wear and patina is a sign of character, and tells the world that a tool is, in fact, a trusted friend and ally--not just an expensive piece of jewelry that you have so you can show it off.

Sort of like the difference in attitude between Triumph owners and Harley owners... :p

They already look like flashlights you might as well take em out. Haha juuust busting on ya provari owners. ;D the first reduced price provari with tons of scratches I see in the classies is mine for this very reason. they are work horse PVs. Kinda like NEXTEL cellphones compared to Blackberries? lol

Or Harley, Honda, lots of others that don't have a BEEMER. I don't see why people have to get an attitude over any of it. We're all just trying to do the same thing in the long run.

Hey BB, nice shots. I work 12hr night shift in a factory and I carry mine every single working night.

Mine is satin white though so I hope you'll forgive me hiding it in a leather sleeve. Makes it alot easier to attach to my belt loop with a snaplink.

There's an ongoing joke at work that I dug this thing out from some UFO wreckage after it crashed in the woods behind my house. :D

cheers,

well some of us can't do that. some of us see the near 200 dollar price tag and thats a lot of money to us. so naturally we're going to be cautious of bruising it when it cost us an entire weeks pay. I'm jobless at the moment but every job ive had was 8.25 an hour. thats minimum wage in my state. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, at 8.25 an hour gets me 280 before taxes. So a provari is nearly a weeks pay. for that reason... I'd rather use my less expensive mods than take out a provari, if I owned one. but if the price was right, I would totally buy a beat up and scratched or dented up provari, just because I know it'll work well.

I don't take mine to work because it's bigger than I prefer to carry in my pockets. I carry a KGO in my shirt pocket for portability and use the Provari at home or in the car on long drives. I sure wouldn't worry about breaking it - it's a lot more durable than my KGO's and Twists. One really hard drop onto concrete settled THAT question.

I take my Provari to work every day, I get a 15 min break after every hour of work, so I just grab my Provari from my locker and head outside to vape away.

I've done more damage to my Provari at home than I have at work. I dropped it 2 weeks ago in my driveway and shattered my quartz tank for my zap, scuffed up the extension cap a little. I've also dropped it getting out of the car and scratched up the top cap as well. However my Provari is a tank, still works like day 1 no issues whatsoever, not 1 problem.

I just ordered a Mini White and some replacement quartz tanks so when it arrives I'll be posting my Black V2 with Blue LED, extension cap and D.I.D. as a combo on the classys for probably $250 shipped.
