Hi All,
Thanks for all the support! One of the reasons I'm so nuts is that I really want this to work for me. I actually prefer vaping to smoking but if you've smoked for decades, like I have, you need a ready supply of reliable equipment to make the transition work. IMHO.
I quite liked the 4081(or whatever the mod# is). I got to the point where I knew when I would need to replenish my battery supply. I never had an 4081 atomizer die. Then my equipment saga began.
As for US suppliers, as far as I can determine, everything comes from 3(?) factories in China. I see this as the problem. Does it matter where you buy if the source is the same?
A good part of my frustration comes from the fact that sometimes the hardware is good & reliable but too often not. In other words. the manufacturers could produce a decent product if they wanted to. Back to my comments about QC & manufacturing standards. I would gladly pay a premium & know the product I purchased was reliable.
My current equipment status. Ruyan Direct will refund my money. I have found them to be easy to deal with. I have 2 dead atomizers & 2 extremely weak batteries. The other 2 atomizers & batteries seem to be hanging in there. If they last the week, which will make it nearly 3 wks, I will return the failed stuff for replacements, with fingers crossed. If not, I'll go for the refund.
BTW I did consider the 510(?), with the manual switch until I learned a charged battery only lasts 2 hours. This won't work for me.
BTW again. I haven't reached a firm decision about what to do about my nic addiction if my remaining 2 901s fail this week. I've heard bad things, now, about both the gum & lozenges. I also learned that I can roll my own for about $1.10 a pack + a $40 machine, if I decide to go the coffin nail route.
I plan, in any case, to stick around this forum. My hope is that sometime soon, there will be an e-cig that will reliably meet my needs.
