wow, can't believe no one has replied. I can't offer any advice because I've never been that route.

if you are experienced, buy a mech and a cheap china made small chambered RDA. if you are not, use a regulated mod and a dripping atty like an HH357 or something similar. dripping on a good atty or a good RDA is a pure awesome experience
You can drip using a VTR. You just have to have the right set up. Correct resistance, etc. I see it done all the time.
my recommendations - Hcigar Nemesis clone, authentic AW IMR 18650 or 18350 batteries, Nitecore i2 or i4 charger, Igo W rda, SMOKtech omnitester, some good silica wick 2mm or 3mm, kanthal a1 28 or 30 gauge wire, some good juice, some research, and start practicing/learning!
dont skimp on batteries or charger these are important for your safety, omnitester or "ohm reader" is very important to know the resistance of your coil, i would say dont dip below 1.0 ohms "sub ohms" until you are more advanced. omnitester is also nifty because you can check how much volts your battery is putting out. a fully charged battery will put out about 4.2v and that decreases with use and you could easily drop below a safe level

Thanks again i will b using this knowledge at a later date...gonna drip with my vtr for a bit then move on from there with another mod
i've heard or rather read here on the forums that a lot of people started drip vaping with the IGO-L since it was rather easy to rebuild. im also looking into dripping too

I'm dripping with a Provari right now, so there is no reason why you can't with your VTR.
Matter of fact I don't know of many PV's that you can't drip with. About the only exceptions are little stick batteries with automatic switches. (don't have leak proof connectors)

Just keep in mind if you go for a dripper any VV/VW divices won't be that helpdull. Normally dripper is less than 1 Ohm and requires mech-modes or something like DNA30.
I use an igo- w clone(15$) and a trident v2 clone(30$), on my vamo v5 and my origin mech mod. I rebuild them between 1.2 to 2.2 ohms and they work great on either mod. prefer the trident as it has adjustable airflow, and I can have one air hole or two, whereas on the igo-w it comes with two air holes, one of which I drilled out, but it does work great for being half the price of the trident. Been vaping some five pawns sample packs and frickin livin the good life.

I wanted to be able to drip for sampling purposes using my Sigelei Zmax. Got a 5 pack of Kanger LR horizontal coil cartos, pulled the wicking out with some tweezers and stuck a drip tip in. Works like a charm and I think they cost $6.99 for a five pack!! Just make SURE you get horizontal coil and not the vertical coil ones. Also grabbed up a Boge 510 atty for more of the same. Great way to try dripping using your current gear and not have to commit to purchasing all the necessary gear to build and test coils etc just to try it!

Well you can use an RDA on your vtr BUT if you build the coil and the ohm reading is too low, your vtr isn't going to fire. I'm not entirely sure what the limit on the vtr is but as long as you keep the build above 1 ohm then you should be fine. Hope this is somewhat helpful, and happy vaping!
I think youll enjoy it. I just started Vaping 4 days ago with a 134 Mini. I love the thing.... That is until I got my first Authentic Mod today. Now the 134 Mini is only to be used for work days! I love the dripping and how simple it really can be.
I was thinking of getting another dripper, and I think you just nudged me into it. thanks
My favorite RDA is the Fatty V3 which has the air holes below the coil, like the Kayfun, Taifun, Squape .. . Imho it`s the best dripper, better than Trident. I think the airflow makes the difference. But unfortunately it will needs some mods to be more save and comfortable. ( isolator, o-ring, sanded down air ring )
