Hi all!

I like my Blu, for the most part.

I can see it isn't going to last me forever though. I want something slightly larger.

What i want:
a) cartomizer (is that right?) that i just unscrew, trash, screw on a new one.
b) i want easy
c) initial cost of the device is fairly unimportant. Cheaper refills would be nice though....
d)i don't want to mix things, or whatever, i just want to vape.
e)my blu e-cig seems a little tuff to draw through
f) i had started with a few disposable e-cigs, they were the size of a small cigar, that seemed ideal to me.
g)i don't want to fuss with it, i want to vape, i want to stop smoking 'analogs' 100% (having 2 a day now, well i start 2 then say yuck and toss)
h)i can see that i might get a big fancy vaping tool some day, but for now i want simple.
i) i want better battery life than my standard blu
j) i was just about to buy a blu 100 premium kit, but i thought i would ask here first.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Ditto on the EGO batteries. If size is not an issue get the larger ones (1000MaH). You will charge less. The new twist (variable voltage) has a lot of fans.
You can mount just about anything to it. Disposables, reusables, refillables, etc.
I started where you are and love the EGO batts. Have moved on to refillables, using the T2 clearomizer lately. Long run its a lot cheaper. Pretty much anything you get has some drawbacks. Have to find what works for you best.

If you were my personal friend, and would be comfortable to use a cigar-sized e-cigarette, I'd recommend the Smokeless Image Volt X2 battery system. Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt X2 Battery Passthrough - Accessories These are an alternative to the Ego system and of similar size. If you are looking to deal with just one company for all your needs, Smokeless Image comes highly recommended.

You can order from 3 different battery sizes. The length determines the battery duration between charges. 600 mah will last you at least 6 hours normally, 900 mah at least 9 hours, and the 1300 mah at least 1300 hrs. Figure roughly 100 mah = 1 hour battery life.

These come with their own pass thru USB charger. You can vape and recharge at the same time if near a USB port. Get the optional USB/wall adaptor 1.5v to vape or re-charge from any wall outlet. They come in any number of color choices. You can order an optional cone to cosmetically improve the transition from the battery and the cartomizer used for a couple of bucks. Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt X2 Battery Passthrough Cone - Accessories

If you want pre-filled cartomizers, they have them. Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Refill Cartridges

Should you decide to save some money by filling your own blank cartos, they have those and bottled juice too.

Smokeless Image is a favorite here at ECF. Reputable company with high quality products catored more to the beginner and intermediate vapor, great customer service, and fast delivery. I currently use big battery mods now, but the Smokeless Image X2's are my backup plan.

Where should i buy from? (i wish virgin vapor sold prefilled carto-thingies, or do they and i'm missing it?)

Is my blu standard... is that same as 18mg?

Sweetie, read the post above you...he listed the Smokeless Image url for you. You can buy blank cartomizers and fill them with Virgin Vapor juice, or any other juice for that matter. 18-24mg is generally recommend as a starting point.

With the prefilled cartomizers from Smokeless Image, you check which nicotine strength that you want in the drop down menu, from 0 to 24mg. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

Virgin Vapors makes great ejuice. However, they sell only juice in bottles with dropper tops. It's really not difficult to fill a blank cartomizer. You just remove the little white doughnut in the top of the cartomizer. I put a broken wooden tooth pic into the air hole, and drip directly onto the polyfill material. When it looks like a wet slushy drink and stays that way, remove the tooth pic and replace it with a drip tip or mouthpiece. Good to go.

Click on the blue links in my above post to get to the Smokeless Image website.

I went to the Blu website and found that the regular are 16 mg. Many vendors offer 18 and 12, and so I tried 12 but it wasn't enough. Go to 18 mg. I coudn't put the thing down at only 12 mg.

I don't mind tinkering, and prefer the vape I get from the eGo Twist and a Vivi Nova. You just fill the tank and vape all day. Sure, there is a little maintenance like washing it out, but when it dies you just replace the head.

Welcome, Whanso1. I started with Blu and was constantly charging batteries. I liked the look of Blu and loved their Cherry Crush, but the batteries were a deal breaker for me.

I agree with everything Baditude said. Smokeless Image has phenomenal customer service if you have a problem and they have prefilled cartos in several flavors.

Are there other great vendors? Yes, but I know SI and I am just giving you my opinion. I don't like to have to fuss with things, either. Some like to DIY, some want easy peasy. Good luck and vape on. :)

I only have one question, and this is not just aimed at the OP.

What do you do with all those pre-filled cartos after they are empty? Sure hope they are not laying all over the ground somewhere.
A normal carto holds 1ml of juice, so the average person will go through 3 cartos/day, or 1,095 cartos/year. Now imagine our roadsides if 100,000 people flipped all those cartos out their car window.

If there was a company with good VG juice that would let me send in empty cartos for reuse, I would be all over that. I'm not a heavy vaper so I wouldn't mind the trade off of a little extra expense for convenience. I just don't like the thought of putting a bunch of stuff in the landfill if I don't have to.

I've been leaning towards clearos as a noob just for the ease of filling. People say cartos aren't that hard, but baby steps. I've got some ViVi Novas on order since I like that you can replace the heads and reuse most of the body. I'm also thinking of getting a good atomizer for dripping just to test out flavors.

If you have the standard Blu, it is 80 maH, whereas the Premium 100 is 226 maH, so longer battery life. I have the Blu Premium 100 kit and really like it. However, since you are looking at buying a whole new kit, anyway, I hear a lot of good things about the still cig-a-like style Volt kit with 78mm (length) battery and they have prefilled carts, but a different connector than the Blu's. The 78mm is 300 maH, as I recall, so would last longer than the Blu P100.

It depends on your smoking style. I love my Blu and do just fine with my Blu during the work day, easily being able to keep my batteries charged using the pack. However, I also have 2 extra Blu P100 batteries I keep charged for those days when I am smoking more heavily. If you are a constant chain smoker, that wouldn't work for you.

An Ego battery with it's 510 connection is able to accommodate the Blu cartridges, if you like them. There is also another company called Jet that manufactures pre-filled cartos with a 510 connector and perhaps other connector styled cartos, as well.

    wow!
u say i can screw my Blu cartridge-thinga-jobbers onto a bigger battery.

    That is key.

    Thanks for posting.

Well mine are all sitting on top of the dashboard of my truck. Going to make a mess when i hit a big bump and they go flying.

Does seem like a waste to toss them.
