I wonder how many original ECF members are still around?

I tend to do searches on certain subjects and when I come across an older thread I always see unfamiliar members. (I guess the originals)

I wonder how many ECF members are still here from the early days? (when did this forum start?)...it also makes me wonder if many of those old members (the ones I no longer see here) are still vaping?

ECF was started in December of 2007 and was founded by SmokeyJoe.

There are many that are still here and vaping, or have moved to other forums for various reasons.

Been here since the summer of 2008, June maybe? Still vapin, posting some, just not as much. Read the forum every day and every day I learn something new and very useful.

There older members still pop in from time to time. If you read older threads, you can find them. Some are still here active everyday!
Yes, they all rock! The experience they have between them is invaluable to the vaping community. Just priceless! Thanks to all you guys and gals for what you have done and are continuing to do for the sake of e-cigarettes.

If I may ask - What has changed?

When I started here there were less than 4,000 members and out of them only a hundred or so that posted regularly. It was like a small community or family and everyone knew each other. Now there are nearly 40,000 members and hundreds joining every day. A lot of the original members are gone and it's hard to keep track of all the new members. It's still good though.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to SmokeyJoe and all the veterans who have kept this forum going and alive and vital - also thanks to all ECF members as well. Because of the intricacies and peculiarities of vaping I firmly believe a lot of persons would have given up on it when they first tried it were it not for the vast wealth of information and support found on this forum. This forum provides an Invaluable service to smokers looking to improve their health and nicotine-use choices. It has also been instrumental in encouraging positive activism on behalf of the electronic cigarette technology and Tobacco Harm Reduction in general. History will treat this Forum, it's founder and initial "family of members" with great respect and reverence.
