Hello guys guide on how to make a Dual Coil on Iatty. I beg your pardon for English, I hope you understand that the guide.

First you need to change the ceramic cup, I used a dremer and gradually I extended the two side slots so as to easily get one over the other 2 wick.

immagine297i.jpg

After that we take our non-resistive and resistive wire and cut 2 pieces of wick of about 5cm. I chose the size of the wire to be able to do 0.13 for 2 3/3.2 ohm resistors, but you can use the wire you want. Cut the wires and we get the right size 2-wire resistive, 2 long and 2 non-resistive resistive short.

immagine299.jpg

Now you must proceed as you normally would to make the resistance, but instead of making it are making it a 2, using a 2-wire resistive and using long and short. Now you put them on top of each other and add the resistive wires.

At this point enter the 2 resistors in the cup and reinsert the 2 o-rings underneath the ceramic glass, then put it in the first plastic part.

Connect the two wires resistive as always, and trimmed the wick 2, those of about 2.5cm let them down while the upper end bicchierino.Per let them flush with the upper glass screw the adjustment for the liquid you're using (the densest = more unscrewed and vice versa)

Now you can screw the main body of iatty, the top cap and mouthpiece ......

The first time I did this mod I used the wire I 2 0.16 and 3.0 ohm resistors, I do not know why but I had problems with flooding, and the second time using the wire from 0.13 and everything went very well ....
My first impressions are: Smoke good, very good heat, aroma and sensational hit, I tried it on Provari that made me push up to 4.5v without absolutely no flavor of wick and burned, while the maximum is of course GGTS was up 4.2 down to 3.7V ..... what else to say guys I am really happy with this mod is the first time I hear so well with the aromas iatty. As mentioned earlier, the first time I had problems of flooding, I do not know what caused it, but I think it depends on how you put their wick as putting too wide apart, and spends too much liquid is flooded .. ....
Well guys I have shown how to make, of course I did not presume to say that is a perfect and infallible, and I wish each of you after trying to tell me his impressions as well as suggestions for improving it.
Greetings to all:)):

How did you separate the wires of not been in touch Diablo?

the two resistors do not touch, because when I join the resistive wires, these are very hard, in short create the space between the two resistors. while the 2 I touch the wick due to the pressure of the funnel top. For now, I'm trying, with both the Provari to 4.8V, the 3.7V to GGTS. of course being 2 resistors, 3.6ohm from, it's better to higher voltages of 3.7V, but if you make 2 resistances from 3.0 ohms already goes best with 3.7v. I hope I was clear in explanation.

I was about to ask the same. But great idea!

in fact it's not clear from the images :)

Great Work Diablo ;)

thank you very much :)

Diablo, you do you mean by the word resistors? I havent understand yet what did you do there, sorry buddy
I'm sorry, imeo, but my English is not good :)
In short, when I join the 2 resistances, connecting wires, "Do not resist," these are so hard, creating space between the two resistors. Obviously when you enter the resistance in the glass, it must be done very carefully, otherwise the 2 resistors meet. I hope that I made it clear, otherwise tell me I'm doing a photo to explain :)

Very nice thought buddy:). I had something in my mind for the Iatty2 but I desided not to do it for now. But I will spell it out so modders like you will do it maybe. If its possible, please make the existing cut on the ceramic deeper and then make one more cut shorter and in vertical position that the first deep one, so if you look the ceramic from upstairs you will see a cross. Then put the wicks inside those slots. They will not meet each other for sure and you will have a clean design and easy to built without the fear of meeting wires

I was actually thinking about doing this

ok Imeo is a good advice, as I get somewhere, glass ceramic in addition, try following your advice. Thank Imeo :)

Then do it buddy and tell me if it works ok. The only issue is maybe that the deeper cut will let the wire sit lower and very near the plastic. You have to be a little careful with this issue.

I need to buy another dremel bit tomorrow since I broke mine but I will try it in the next day or 2

Actually, this may be one place where the Micro Crimp beads would come in handy. Instead of just a piece of NR wire holding up the second wick. You could put 1 or2 crimp beds on the NR wire between the coils. thy would act like a standoff for the second wick

I was also considering trying to make a new on with two pieces of R wire twisted together and make a "Figure 8" pattern holding the two wicks together.
