Just wondering if anyone had ordered more then one top plastic replacement for the Iatty? I have not been able to use mine since I have received it about 3 weeks ago. My plastic piece came stripped and was causing the Iatty to leak. I had sent Bruce an email as Imeo said to contact him...no response. 2 weeks later...sent him another email...no response. Monday, August 1st, I sent Bruce another email hoping for him to respond before he sent out my UFS top cap, no response once again. I was hoping he would surprise me and that he might have stuck one in the package, but it was no where to be found:(
Not sure of why I am not being contacted back, but it really upsets me as Bruce has never done me wrong or anyone that I know of. I guess I will just have to wait for Imeo to get back to work this out.

Try sending him a PM on this site. Bruce is the best and always responds. He may be having e=mail or site issues. I remember when he had site issues awhile back. I'd put things in the cart and it would sit and spin.

Yeah because he said he only had 4 pieces available, they went quick.

I kinda wish his site showed how many of x item he had. If I had known he only got 4 I would have ordered I had 1 on my cart but decided to hold off while I checked on something. Went back a few minutes later and they were gone.

I'm sorry but having only 4 each of the top plastics is bad planning and seems like they simply got lucky and had a few left over from the whole assembly process. Don't know if Imeo makes those pieces himself or has them made for him.

Maybe they lost some of the plastics from the assembly process because I know that the plastics I received with iAtty were "very slightly" cross threaded (top of the threads) already when I got them. As I was assembling iAtty for the first time I found that the bottom plastic/metal base seemed to be threading fine but I then ran into resistance that told me they were either cross threaded or had gunk in the threads causing them to bind up. I knew it wasn't gunk so when I felt the threads start to bind up I took them apart and saw that the plastic at the top of the threads was "feathered". It has been my experience that when you have a steel part and a plastic or nylon part mating together the steel part can/will cut into/through the threads of a plastic part and the result is that the tops of the threads are feathered. Basically because the plastic threads are cut in half by the steel threads cross threading over them.

I just know that I have to be careful when assembling iAtty because the bottom plastic is partially cross threaded right at the top of the threads (were they are most vulnerable) , the same leading threads that start the whole mating process. Takes several attempts before I can get the threads right so that it mates together smoothly. Not a huge deal but a concern.

And you're right, having a live inventory count "should" be a standard feature. If the backend that drives the ordering process is database driven it's easy to create a query or calculated field against the table that holds the quantity of items on hand.

I wonder how many units were shipped (and to date sold by COV) to COV because I see they still have SSGGTS for sale? I know this is a hot item and I expected it to be sold out within a day at most.

I suppose part of this post is simply a rant because I really need a top plastic and only four were made available.

I sent Bruce a PM through ECF on 7-30 in the morning asking about getting another top plastic piece. Never heard back.

Bruce has always responded back quickly so something is amiss.

Don't know how successful the rollout of iAtty was deemed to be. Having the wrong sized o-rings shipped with the unit caused a lot of initial frustration with iAtty (me included). Now with the lack of replacement parts and no available date that only adds to the frustration.

Don't get me wrong, I love my iAtty and am really excited about my SSGGTS being delivered today. USPS shows it's "out for delivery". My favorite three words. :)

I am quite frustrated as well Repent and I hate to rant, but it is frustrating when a supplier does not contact you back, especially for weeks. I never knew there was only 4 top plastics, also as I contacted Imeo before the plastics were shipped and was told Bruce would take care of me. I know Imeo has nothing to do with Bruce not contacting me, I just figured one of the plastics would have my name on it as I received the top plastic stripped. We will all just have to wait for Imeo to see what he says of this matter.
