So I have been using the iAtty since its release and love it, the flavor, throat hit, everything. I have had my ody for a while now, and can't seem to get the same performance from it. The flavor seems weaker, the vaper is minimal, and it's just not as warm, I used a 1.5-2 ohm coil at 4-5 volts on my iAtty and have mimicked this on the ody. What other factors could I be missing.

I had the same problem with my Ody after using the iatty. It took me a little tinkering with different wick positions and the way I wrapped my coil. I found using two peices of wick and leaving it outside the retaining nut and spacing the wraps of the coil just a little apart from each other (little less than 1mm) and keeping it centered in the ceramic, seems to work really well. I'm getting more vapor and throat hit than the iatty.
hope this helps.

After I get it all back together, I open the liquid control all the way up.

Still not performing at its best, I just orderd some 26 awg wire off eBay. Going to try making more rotations and see if that helps. I think a part of it is the cone. On the iAtty the chamber is smaller and the vaper could build up quicker vs the large chamber on the ody mouth peace. I'll have to play with the air flow once the new base gets here. Anymore ideas are welcome tho.

I think 26AWG is going to be way to thick and hard to use and work with in this situation, I'm using 34AWG and its perfect for me.

agreed....26ga is huge compared to the supplied 36ga....atm I'm using 32ga kanthal in both my iatty and ody, and prefer the vape I'm getting from the ody a lot more...with the same size coil, I see better vapor and flavor production, and a lot less air draw from the ody

It may take you a little more tinkering...Don't give up!!!

true that...26ga, the R wires will be much shorter than the 36ga too....will be a bit harder to work with for LR coils... ex. with 36ga you may have 5 wraps for a 2.4 ohm coil, the 26ga you may only have 2 or 3 :p

Maybe I should post my results now lol, been useing the 32g kanthal, one ody wick and an iatty wick on top, something I noticed helped a lot is that I torch everything before I put it together, the wicks till they are glowing red and the wire for just a second. This has all around helped every problem I had.
