Iatty wire and resistance wire in the us

I having a problem finding wires in the us for my iatty. I have googled for the last hour or so and I am only finding wire in the uk or canada. I screwed up and used all of my resistance wire and it popped this morning rendering my iatty useless until I can get wire.....so not looking forward to a 2 week wait.

My experience so far is the same. I went ahead and ordered from wires.co.uk, and am going on a hunt locally for the wires. Hoping that hobby shops etc.. will have what I need. I did find some wires on amazon.com, but not to the specs of what the iAtty uses.

yes, i found the UK site. i've just been busy hunting for something in the US..
but this option will cost $63.41 for a 2-week delivery or $112 for expedited international.

Imeo recommends 2 wires... one is rated at ~53.7 ohms/m (~16.36776 ohms/ft) and ~1.83 ohms/m (~0.557784 ohms/ft)...
There's more than one variable to match.. but thank you.

The 1,83 ohms per meter is the no resistance wire. You can buy anything you like for no resiastance wire, like gold plated, silver plated, copper etc.

I could only find lower gauge (19SWG/18AWG) Nichrome that approximated the same resistance.

dont search for nichrome. Nichrome is a resistance wire. Try to find a nickel wire with the smallest resistance. NOT NICHROME, JUST NICKEL. Sorry for the capitals, I just want to show you the difference buddy

For what its worth I know that resistance wire is used in foam cutting, so that might give you a pointer for it in the USA, Good Luck

After converting meters to feet and SWG to AWG standards I managed to find a match to Imeo's Resistance wires... Same gauge, same resistance per length...
Resistance Wire

As for the No Resistance wire, I wasn't able to find the exact specification that Imeo posted originally.. 34SWG is near 31AWG. Apparently, 31AWG is not widely used or available on this side of the Atlantic..But since we need this as our NR wire, we can use anything between 0.20mm and 0.25mm (as Imeo advised) that is "suitable to health like silver or silver plated, gold or gold plated, copper". 0.20mm to 0.25mm correspond roughly to 32AWG and 30AWG, respectively. Anyhow, i could not find any gold or silver wire within our desired gauge or price range... but i did find copper at 32 and 34 AWG.
No Resistance Wire

I ordered both, relatively cheap.. if anyone in our family ever needs some NR wire in the future, i'll send you a lifetime supply for the asking. Else, you can buy 7,860 feet.... How many iAtties is that? I've been up all night data mining, and reading specs/standards-tables, and i'm really none-the-wiser. i'm sleep-deprived, delirious, and slightly relieved. So my friends, forgive me for rambling...

Just ordered some res wire but I'm not sure about the copper non-res wire. Do you already have it? and have you tried it? I'd buy some off of you so I don't have to buy that huge thing of it if you would do that.

I was able to find Nichrome 32 gauge spool for $30 from a local electronics store here in Albuquerque Walker Electronic Supply Co. - Home Couldn't find no resistance wire anywhere, than I saw JoAnn's fabric/craft store on the way home and luckily found 34 gauge gold beading wire for $2.00. Got home made my atty at 1.5ohm and happily vaping away. Fwiw, it seems to be vaping the same with the wire supplied in my order.

So your local electronic stores that sell wire/tools etc.. may have resistance wire, not all do though it seems. JoAnn is a chain in the US. Don't know how big, but they're site is Home : Shop | Joann.com.

and on Joanns fabric online page they didn't have 34g, only 24

I saw this earlier silentt. The only thing i would worry about is what is coated on the wire to color it. Also, don't know how hard it is. Very cheap though. May be worth investigating. I would probably feel safer with the Copper wire dream posted earlier.
