here's an idea for you imeo, why dont you make an atti like the ody with the air control built in as it would be good for people who dont have a ggts, maybe a ceramic that could take 2 coils would be good too also small limited runs of ggts/ody s with some nice engravings with an extra high price tag,prs guitars do this kind of thing with their private stock guitars for the serious collector ,include a certificate of authenticity would also be a good idea,
some days my small brain thinks out loud lol

I read your references to guitars. My bass player owns a vintage guitar store sellling very rare Gibsons, Fenders, Mosrites etc. Even big people in the music industry get ripped off every now and then (certificate or not). James Hettfield flies my friend to his house to check the authenticity on say a 50's Gibson gold top before he buys it for a few hundred grand. It is crazy how many replicas flooting around. Same with GG. I'd rather have one "real" mod, than ten replicas. It's very sad that people feel the need to profit from the idea of the original inventor, which is Imeo in our case.

you have to see the authentic to know what the replica is river. But I will put GG logo and wings on all GG constructions so you will able to know the original. Also original will be numbered from now on.
so my question remains...how can we tell the difference between authentic GG and replicas? What precautions do we take when buying from an individual?

Imeo, Steve, and Mosin,
Thank you guys for the replies and reassurance that I will be able to discriminate between the two. And seeing that my first GG products will come directly from Bruce, I will have the opportunity to view first hand the characteristics of the real thing long before any chance of purchasing the wrong thing from an individual. In all likelyhood I will only purchase new from COV and if I do decide to go used, I will make sure to purchase from someone well thought of here on ECF.

there are no originals, nothing is authentic...the world is but simulacra, mere attempts at representations and approximations of the visages in one's mind.
Wow Bugg, that's heavy stuff. But the thing is Imeo envisaged the GG first so I guess we can say it came from his mind

External additions replicas do not give a better vaping.
The internal contents of the original GG hard to beat after Imeo ...:vapor:

Correct as always Mosin, my Russian Brother. The other reason to protect the Original Maker is if the knock off's start cutting into his profits, then, he will stop dreaming up new things and that is a loss for the vaping community, besides, the fact that copy catting is unconscionable and despicable. I am truly surprised that Wicked did what they did. Since they did that, I have personally boycotted them for life.

I have a full machine shop with dozens of cnc machines at my disposal and could easily replicate any part of the GG but I don't. To do so would be to take food from Imeo's childrens mouths so I line up to buy parts just like anyone else. Life is about doing the right thing and the beauty of life is the reciprocity we get from it. If we don't want to get screwed, we shouldn't screw people, that's basically it. Christianity calls it the law of sewing and reaping, our Hindu friends call it Karma, our Asian brothers call it Yin and Yang but it's all the same. Do unto others, thats what we Hippies called it, Peace!
