No more rules and regulations (we all know those go out the window the moment the Philip Morris family is involved)

Just imagine Marlboro making genuine eliquid or Camel ... they could do it from the same tobacco that they make the cigs from... I can imagine the boxes that they would be packed in lol

I bet you if the tobacco industry converted you could vape on any plane anywhere literally, they have alot of influence unfortunately...

It would be a win win situation, I'm sure that loyal smokers would stick to their fave brands no matter what anyway,
why not join us instead of going head to head

Just a cool concept that's all :p

------- TO CLARIFY -----------

This is all a hypothetical situation, in an ideal world they would cost the same and use the same ingredients as the normal ones but extracting the nic from their tobacco leaves which is what I meant by the way...
It would become an overnight mentality shift where the masses would not blink twice at the sight of you vaping the handle of a tennis racket or whatever funky mod you have invented for yourself.
To be honest with you it's probably only a matter of time till the drooling tax man gets his greedy hands on the ejuice
(if you disagree please enlighten me as it will be reassuring)

I think that would be the downfall of ecigs . Id rather buy from a small family run vendor than a giant company that doesn't care about killing millions of people each year . They would put tons of chemicals in it to make it more addictive .Gov would put crazy taxes on it . Anyone vaping for a while doesnt like the taste of a real cig anymore anyway . My bakery and fruit juices taste so much better than a analog .

It truly would be the worst thing possible for the ecig community so dont give them any ideas lol.

They would do it with the same tobacco used in their cigs ? You mean the horrible tobacco we are all trying to get off of .

I have added more on to the original thread to clarify what I meant please refresh before you read onward as I can see how this came across wrong...

Everyone on here has a point, and yes since vaping I cannot even stand next to a smoker let alone smoke a real one and I still would buy from the smaller brands with better ingredients as opposed to the majors.

They wouldn't have a problem adding a couple thousand chemicals to it you think, no?

Here's the million dollar question... They say in ejuice there are 4 chemicals Nicotine PG VG and Flavorings....

Can you tell me the estimated % of people on the forum that you think know what goes into the flavorings ??? or how many chemicals make up the flavoring ?? I'm not asking this in a cynical way, I genuinely have asked and nobody can provide a straight answer (don't get me wrong I'm not going back to analogs but the fact remains that you never see on the manufacturers websites what goes on in that department... It's a mystery)

This poll might interest you...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ou-buy-e-cigarette-big-tobacco-companies.html

As for the idea of tobacco companies being involved, it would be a two-edged sword.

On the plus side, they have money and influence, and could grease some wheels.
On the minus side, they could make electronic cigarettes an even more hated target.

We would lose the ability to state that those evil cigarette companies have nothing to do with us.
We would lose the ability to state that a vote for electronic cigarettes is a vote against Big Tobacco.

And that's without even getting into, as others have said, what they might put in them.

I agree, in a ideal world where smokers that wouldnt have been interested in vaping in the first place started vaping because Big Tobacco put out products that were of the same quality of lets say a ego, then it would be great. People that have been vaping can stick to there favorite vendors, and all the new converts can stick to there favorite brands, and the mentality switch of the general populous would be awesome. Thats of course assuming that it wouldnt be taxed to nothing and that big tobacco didnt ruin there e-juice with 40 bazillion chemicals. But in an ideal world that would be sweet.

I'm willing to bet that within five years, either BT or BP, maybe both, will hip deep into nicquids. Of couse, the gov't will be the vultures overlooking all. Not lookin' forward to that day... shakehead.gif

On the PA website, you can go to an area called 'Molecules Used For Tobacco Blends'. Under that category, for the various flavors, they show what I guess is the more 'raw' ingredients that may be used in the manufacture of a particular flavor. Never got any farther than saying "Wow. Sure takes someone smarter than me". If someone has time, maybe they might want to delve deeper.

Yes i think the majority of people vaping know whats in ejuice as its stated everywhere . I think that was the first thing i learned coming here . As for flavoring they are not specifically made for ecigs as the flavorings have been around for a long time used and baking etc .

Well I believe the whole point of taxing the crap out of cigarettes is for people to stop smoking because of the health hazards. Maybe it would be different for e cig juices, considering snus is much cheaper than cigarettes, and chewing tobacco.

I understand that some people think they tax them so high for the money, but if the government really wanted to make money they could just put a heavy tax on food, something people need to live, rather than cigarettes, which people die from.

:D

They like to tell us that it is to make people quit but it not .Its for them to get more money . Look at what they do to indian reservations selling cigs . They do tax food . In Ny we get taxed for any food containing sugar .Salt as well .Wait also prepared foods .If you eat at a restaurant your charged a luxery tax . Soon we will have crazy taxes on all foods . Anything they can make an excuse for . Why because they want more money .I wouldnt be surprised if down the road the gov will be telling us what to eat so we must pay a insane tax on it . Right now the gov things ecigs are just as bad as real cigs .
