London. Don't even have to think about it.

I lived there on and off for about a year (traveling, had visas to deal with, etc), and it's the only place I've ever been that feels like home to me. It feels like how I write. I love the people, the culture, the history, everything.

Yes, it's crazy-expensive. Yes, the nanny state is disturbing. Yes, the weather is crap.

I don't care. I love London. And I AM going to live there permanently some day.

I love Key West,I think Id just stay here.Id like a nice house though.

Somewhere extremely cold year-round. I'm so sick of the summer heat here in the South East. Summer is my least favorite season! Oh and it has to snow there too. Also I have my eye on Iceland, mainly just for the culture. Looks so beautiful there.

No offense keyzgirl, but Xanax's post is exactly the reason I hated Key west. It was like being on the face of the sun with a giant humidifier. Ugh!

Xanax, it's cool to see someone who likes snow too. Everyone thinks I'm crazy cuz I like winter.
Iceland would definitely be cool to visit at least.

I would pick Montreal or San Fran as a place to live.

I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
Hawaii. Been looking into that for a couple of years. Oahu is expensive, but you canget great deals on The Big Island. Lot's of open space(so far), Beatifull place, Great people, incredible weather(as long as you don't mind rain) and you can grow anything in the soil/climate very well. Plus surfing, winding roads for motorcycling, Skiing in the winter etc, etc...

I'm with you. The heat this year in Ohio has been unbearable for me. I am so sick and tired of spending fifteen minutes in the shower scrubbing myself and washing my hair only to get out, put my clothes on, walk outside and be drenched in my own sweat after two minutes.

My first choice is Anchorage. My second is Juneau. Both cities have a similar climate. In the summer, the high is usually around 65F! Now that's the kind of place I could call home!

Plus Alaska is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Allright. Another vote for the northern latitudes!

Oh mannnn.. niiiiceee. And yes Alaska is BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely amazing. Low crime rate there, too. San Francisco is pretty chilly year-round, but also muggy and foggy. And I know exactly what you mean about showering. Pretty much every day I'll get out of the shower, still dripping wet with the AC on and I'm already freakin sweating before I put my deodorant on! Our AC has failed 6 freakin times this summer and we have a REALLY nice system too. It's been about 98-102 the whole summer here, constantly. And last year it didn't get cold here until freakin January. I'd rather be shivering in pain than sweating!

Also, I'm a night owl, Alaska would be absolutely perfect for me. Muahaha.

Haha it sucks, I'm like the only person in the whole state that hates summer. People think I'm a lunatic too, so don't feel bad.

The author Dana Stabenow has a series of books, ummm about 15 so far I think, that take place in Alaska. It's a series about a female P.I. who is a leader in her Inuit tribe. Very good but definately geared toward the female, mystery, romance, thriller.

You know in some places in the North, you are legally required to carry a gun/rifle with you at all times as a defense against bears.

As long as I am with my Significant Other, it does not matter to me.
For now we are here in Florida and I am loving the weather, the people and the beauty.
This is the best place I have lived.
I am not a big fan of the cold. I would rather sweat than shiver. When my bones get cold, it hurts.

I'm the exact opposite, when it's hot, my bones/muscles hurt. I bet my ancestors were snowboarding on their clubs in the ice age. LOL
