I have an IGO-L, got it this week and I really like it... looks, performance, size.... Got it from FT and it came with a small screwdriver, some spare washers and an extra set of coiled wicks. The wicks that came on it were a mess (the packaged ones are done well), but I pulled it and put a microcoil with cotton on it anyhow.

Couple of things. Yes... capturing the coil wire around the posts took a bit of finesse, but not too tricky. And that stock 1mm hole needs some widening. It seems like 1.5mm (1/16 inch) is probably the most popular choice... I haven't had the chance to drill mine out yet (tonight), but when I drilled out my Octopus rda to 1/16... very nice.

But... It's a great RDA. It holds a TON of juice. There is a generous drip well and they put the vent hole fairly high on the bell... unlike some RDAs that slam that thing down close to the deck (Yes, I'm looking at you Squid) or in some cases, IN the deck (Yeah, Squid, your big brother Octopus got issues too!).

The ONLY thing I'm not all that fond of is that heat-sink like drip tip that is a shade on the loose side. I really like the Ming tip that came on my RSST, thinking about getting one of those instead. But that is a minor complaint

You can't go wrong with the IGO-L....

Update:

I bought the iGO-L from OKC Vapes and it arrived last Saturday. Took the option of getting the 1.6 mm vent. I also got about a meter of 32 gauge Kanthal and 2 mm Silica wick.

The first coil I twisted up metered out at 2.5 ohms. Not bad, but was looking to get 1.4 - 1.7 ohm range, since I only have a eGos and a Vamo v3. The 2.5 ohm vaped ok, but it didn't take long before I ditched it for my second try. The second metered out at .7 ohms...no go. Third try was 1.5 ohms...perfect!

It took me a while to get used to the free-draw of the 1.6 mm hole. Finally, I got the hang of it, but there where some pretty intense coughing sessions until I did (remember...I be a n00b at RDA...if you are too, draw slow and deep...it is worth it). Now, I attach the iGO-L when I get home from work and it is GAME-ON. All night! At this point, I want to twist-up another coil, but I am enjoying this so much, I don't want to toss this one. I want to try a micro-coil with cotton, but that will probably wait for the weekend.

I am grateful for the feedback I received regarding this decision and am happy with the decision. I am sure there will be more decisions where I will consult the community, but until then...you guys ROCK!:toast:

You'll like the micro... If you hit your target resistance (I'd say mid/mid-high 1's..) with the microcoil, it's a 'set it and forget it' type build. The microcoil is very durable and replacing the cotton wicks are as easy as pulling the old one, a quick burn on the bare coil, then sliding in a new cotton wick. It should last a long long time.

I have a 1.7 ohm micro (28g Kanthal) on my IGO-l myself... it performs awesome.

I have 2 Igo-l's but I bought them before a lot of the current rda's came out. If I was on a budget and could only choose 1 atty then I'd go with the trident clone. It has 3 posts that are drilled and a top cap with selectable airholes. You can even go back and forth between single and dual airholes. And thankfully they're something like $17 from Fasttech.

update - I bought the Igo -w - enlarged the air hole to 1/16" - super glued the 2nd air hole - built a 28g kanthal micro coil 10/11 wraps (thoroughly torched) around a 20g needle - it's about 1 ohm -sterile cotton ball wick material.
I thoroughly read thru the big thread here on micro coils, to learn and ask what I should try to do.
I use it on my Magneto, the SID will not fire it. The 1/16" air hole is most definitely the largest you should ever drill on it.
I tried a hair smaller 1.3mm hole, but that bit broke, it wasn't a cobalt bit. I used my drill press on the slowest speed.
In the end... I am currently in Vape Heaven, this is the real thing, I am still new to this, but if there is a better vape out there, I am going to have to "try it" before I buy it... This is so easy to maintain, it's incredible..and the taste! - foogettaboutit..
I will be wanting to try an rba some day, but it will have to exceed in simplicity and vape to place itself next to the cheap igo-w..:toast:

If you think THAT'S good, wait until you use BOTH airholes at 1/16 and a dual coil. It's even better.

I don't think I can breath in any more than I can now.:2cool:

I tried a few .4 dual builds and dont think they produce much more vapor then my .7 ohm single micro coil. just my experience

that being said I still want an igo w or nimbus to play around with :) maybe a dual micro coil set up will be better then what my friends builds were.
