yeah, thats what im seeing too. After going over this thread, I notice some of the holes are higher then others from factory. I might end up closing my hole and redrilling one higher.

If you look closely at this pic you can see the top of the lip on the well through the hole. I chamfered the hole so it looks a bit bigger then it is.

I opened mine up to 1/16 and I can see the edge of the base in the hole lol.

I'm in the process of going to 1/16… need to find a better drill bit lol

Edit.

So yeah WAY better , and my factory hole must be higher because I completely clear the base.

I love the vape but I prefer screw on top and heavier steel. So I got the RDA XL from Germany. I still love the glo for being in rougher situations when running errands. If you like the glo try the rda xl from vapor-freak.de

Did you receive your RDA XL already, XtianApi? ( I thought you just ordered it.) I'm eager to hear what you think of it when you do. Start a thread so we can find it.

Just ordered an IGO-L and had some questions before I get started...

I have some A1 32 Kanthal and 1mm Silica Wick lying around from other RBA's. Can I use these for the IGO-L? Can I double/triple/quadruple the 1mm silica to work? or am I SOL and need to buy more stuff?
Those materials will work fine. What MOD do you intend to run it on, a VV/VW or a mech?

So 3 to 4 wraps and double (2 pieces) of 1mm Silica?

Yes, 3/4 wrap (4 full loops on the outside and 3 on the inside). If you wrap the coil on one end of your doubled wick, then tuck the extra wick under the coil/between the posts, then trim the end.

I just wrapped a 3/4 around a doubled 2.5mm silica wick for my Chalice and it reads 1.7Ω, yours will be lower due to thinner wick, not by a lot though. If you don't want low Ω, then use a 4/5 wrap coil to get about 2Ω.

I've been running mine with 3 1" pieces of 3mm silica and a 4 wrap of 32g kanthal lately and loving it. I wrap the coil at one end of the wicks and tuck the rest onto the bottom. I get easily 20-25 drops in it and no issues with wicking ever.

I might try that , this is my first RBA and I've only built two coil/wick setups and I'm trying different things out. I've got to rebuild it tonight anyways, I accidentally got a little over zealous on a dry burn today and although it doesn't look super burnt it certainly doesn't taste great anymore.
