the more wick used in a rda the less amount of air you can pull from the coil. covering the full drip well with a wick imo takes alot longer to drag and get a good amount of vapor ive learned to use shorter wicks . i started out making huge wicks that covered the drip well to short enough to touch the bottom and top of the coil

I haven't found this at all. You just can't SURROUND the coil with wick. On top of that, if you don't have much wick, your IGO will not travel well without leaking.

My Igo L doesn't travel, it's exclusively for home use. Besides, dripping is a home based activity, I prefer tanks to move around.

Well that's pretty handy for you, because after dripping steadily, I can't STAND to use tanks, period.

None whatsoever? How about a Terminator C? Or maybe a bottom coil? I get great flavor from both, and although the Term is a little tricky the vapor and flavor is well worth the hassle.

None. They don't hit nearly as well, and if you ever want to switch flavors, you have to have big extra tanks hanging around. Not to mention, if one opens up in your pocket, you're going to get a WHOLE bunch of juice in your pants. In fact, out of all of the vaping products I've tried from dripping, clearos, cartos, gennies, atty/cartridges, etc etc, tanks are far and away my least favorite.

I agree with you in the carto tank arena, not so much with certain bottom coils such as the Vapeonly BCC. The mini BCC is just 1.6 ml, not that bad. That enables me to have 3 to 5 flavors vapeable anywhere. I'm not trying to evangelize, dripping is great but a hassle.

Okay .....so I just ran through most of this thread at 7am when I should be enjoying my coffee and MM... But I've hit a wall of issues with this RDA and can't seem to get it right ...here's my setup

Segeli 13b
Ekowool with 5 wraps of kanthal 28g
Air holes somewhat lined up

Now I done most of what I should and I just can't get away from a screeching burning throat hit ...for some reason on 5 wraps I'm getting .6 ? ( on my vamo and svd for readings).. I'm also noticing that when testing coils with pulsing that the ekowool is catching fire....

1st thing comes to my mind is the ekowool, AFAIK, the ekowool shouldn't be flammable. 2nd would be the coil, did you adjust the coils to make them lined up evenly? Is the coil over tighten on the wick? IMHO, these would lead to harsh TH.

i got that too initially, so i tried changing every variable i could but to no avail.

Then I tried making a micro coil with a cotton ball wick and it has worked marvelously. I feel they are easier to make than your standard coil. Plus, changing flavors and cleanup is so easy, just pull out the cotton, rinse the unit with coil still attached, dry burn the coil, put new cotton in and juice it up, 2 mins tops.

RDA's are all I use now, I have a bunch of clearo and carto's that just don't do it for me anymore. I gotta find someone to buy them off me.

I have a question.
I've read though page 26 on this thread and have not found the answer

The air hole is def too small and I know a lot of people say make 1.6
but others say that is as loose as pulling air though a big gulp straw

I want better airflow but not that much

I have a place I can get it drilled

has any buddy found a good size that is not too airy?

Go to that place and begin drilling with the smallest possible size and work your way up from there just drill clean vape and repeat

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

the problem is I'm giving it to someone else who is going to have someone at there job do it as a favor
so I have to tell them a size to drill

If I were doing it myself I would have already done that
but I'm not handy and I don't have a drill or a place in my aprt to set it

I just got one of these from fasttech. One problem (atleast i'm pretty sure it is a problem), when i went to tighten the screw on the outer post it just keeps on a spinnin' and won't tighten down. The whole post keeps turning. I assume this is not right, and i got a reject? Last time i purchase from that company. Made one order of the IGO-L and an SVD, 5 days later they tell me they are splitting up the order and now the SVD still sits in Hong Kong (17 days from the order date), and the one product i DO get is defective.

Yeah, bad luck I guess. They are made in huge quantities. The negative post if press fitted. Some will be loose. They don't have a 100% perfect product rate and the QC is ... well ... not that good. I think vendors reported a 5-6% reject rate with their large orders from China. Someone could provide better numbers.

Doesn't Fasttech offer a satisfaction guarantee of some sort? I bought 3 and all of them are ok. I always buy more than one to make sure I get at least a good one.

Hope you get a good one soon.

That's what i figured, and thanks for the reply. Yeah, i suppose they will replace it but what a pain in the neck. Wouldn't be that big a deal if my SVD wasn't lost in postal never never land.
