Good find. That looks like it would work. I looked and looked but couldn't find anything. You used the right search terms.
Ahh what you have found sir, is the epoxy glue. It makes a beautiful alternative to solder, perfectly lead free in every which way, safer and cleaner.I just received my new LPV3 and I have a question:
I was so excited that I stuck the battery in with the positive pointing down and screwed on a 510 cart. Nothing, tried two or three different ones including a 510 to 808 adapter. Still nothing. Then I put the battery on the charger for a few minutes - green light after about 15 minutes so, thought I would give it a try. Still nothing, and the cartos worked fine on other batteries/PTs. I looked at the LPV3 threads and connector and it looked like there was juice on it, maybe a carto had leaked, but it wouldn't wipe off. I used a dental tool and it was some kind of dark yellow gummy stuff, almost like rubber cement.
Well, I removed it and screwed on a carto. It works great now. What was that gummy stuff? Is it normal packing/protective stuff?

Hi Blue,I keep blowing attys on my Chameleon when I'm using it as a 6v or 7.4v device. I have zero problems when using it as a 3.7v device though. I even fryed a high voltage 901 atty on it.I have plenty of liquid on the atty and it lets me take 1 or 2 really harsh drags, then it just stops working. At this point the atomizer is dead and won't work on the Chameleon or any other device. This obviously really sucks because I want that 6v sweet spot but I don't want to keep blowing attys trying to figure this issue out. Someone please help! I'm stumped.![]()
Thats so great to hear Tk!!!!! You just made my day!! I don't have the 510 connectors on hand, but the Chameleon is being ordered today. It would've been much quicker but The Chameleon creator likes to mimic the Chinese holidays, (trust me it gets very annoying considering the fact that he lives in Amsterdam!)First off I must say that I am Super Happy with my Chameleon and shopping experience! Ikenvape is AAA+ in my book..
My question is:
My 510 adapter is a very tight draw with my Iken&LiquidExpress 510 cartomizers ....so much so that I cant really use them. My TW regular 510 atty is better on it but it is still a little stiff draw.
Was just wondering if I may have got a bad 510 adapter?
a little bummed cause the 510 is my main Atty of choice. I can always get a 901 > 510 adapter but I didn't want to add length to it.
Lovin my chameleon though....been vaping at 4.2v & 5.5v....this devise is Awesome![]()
Hiya Cos!Isaac
just wanted to let ya know i got the IMR high drain 16340 and they fit perfect. Thank you for measuring the length for me when i asked you to. anyway do these need to be charged initially a special amount of time or put them on the charger til the led turns green?
also question on your 510 attys the Low Voltage 510 2.5 ohm. are these the Low Res attys you were working on. you said 1.5ohm was too low and i agree. they get very hot at 1.5 and then they can burmn out easily. I am interested in your 2.5ohm attys. i have 510 attys called expert attys and that has 2.7 ohms and they rock. so these 2.5ohm atys can you tell me a few things about them vapor and Throat hit wise. also is the bridge thin or wide on these? thanks Isaac for the great batteries. these IMR high drains last all day when ya vape at 3.7v with a LR atty. Thanks
Cos
Get better quick guys. Being sick is so terrible.
Thanks for the info. I didn't take into account assembly methods - like gluing. Took about 5 seconds to remove after 15 minutes of "did I make a big mistake" troubleshooting.
Haha Homework is always need in the book of vaping.
Honestly, I received the adapter and kit needed for the Chameleon and in the mean time of tinkering around, I was discussing and learning from a friend/customer about it. When everything was set-up it seemed so unstable to the point where I didn't feel comfortable supplying it. So I ended up just sending it over to him free of charge.
I'll explain without vagueness, The adapter itself goes on like any other Chameleon adapter. BUT when I said "Adapter & Kit" The Kit is the unstable part. You see, the kit is an actual Chameleon short body tube. Once you hook up the adapter in place, you then set the tube over it, so it sits on the Chameleon's cone. Then you place the G atomizer into the tube, onto the adapter. This leaves the tube loose and free moving. If you were to even drop the chameleon, the tube and atomizer alike would probably go flying. I told the manufacture that I refuse to supply them until they figure put a way to solidify it. If you would still be interested Whiskey, I'll make a special order for you and anyone else that would really want one.![]()
