That's GREAT!!!

So even pre-season gets you going, J? I've tried but I simply can't... It's practice for me.

Besides, I haven't even drafted my team yet. ;-)

I have some news on The Great Billet Box Carto Experiment. It's too early to circulate in their thread, but I will here, even though it's still very preliminary. All I'll say is that there is now a 2nd person who experienced something similar to what I did. He though, is at a complete loss as to how that could be, because he recognized and is very familiar with the head that resides in the fillerless Nitro.

It's actually the exact same head that's used in the infamous Sabot, but he admitted that he's getting better flavor from the Nitro.

So the curiosity and growing experiment continues. Kat should be receiving a couple to try early next week. I'll be curious to hear a third opinion.

That being said, I wonder if Isaac tried one yet? Helloooooooooo Isaac! ;-)

Oh! And don't remove the flange. It makes it leak.

Sorry about your storm, Bov - but yes, good news indeed. Just please don't let on to our mutual friend that I told you what he said. He admitted it VERY begrudgingly. ;-)

And I don't know why but all of the sudden I'm in the mood for Chinese food.

I could still go for a cheeseburger... but that's pretty much a given, I could always go for a cheeseburger.

Chinese sounds good too, you buyin'? I'm almost done sanding this figured walnut bowl. As soon as I slap some oil on it, I'll be ready.

Working on a semi-figured solid walnut bowl right now. Having to take a lot of breaks. Ran into a problem spot & all this sanding is going to give me carpal tunnel if I'm not careful. Those are a couple of my decorative bowls, this walnut bowl will be food-safe, so it's taking a little extra patience. I'll snap a photo of it in a minute.

Beautiful bowls Oz. I love working with wood but my lathe isn't large enough to do bowels. I have a large burl that would make a nice bowl if it stayed together but burl wood isn't very strong.

DP i'm glad you experment is going well. As to the head I don't know a thing about them but looks can be decieving. Sometimes things look exactly the same until you get deeper into them

Thanks Bo. The BP is performing flawlessly. I hope all are having a wonderful day.

You're using your lathe wrong!

Burls can be tricky. I certainly wouldn't have tried them as an amateur turner. One wrong move & you could put yourself in the ER before you even realize what happened. As if lathes aren't dangerous enough, nature gives us some beautiful bombs to spin real fast & jab razor sharp metal objects into.

Okay, so are these something Isaac carries? I want to try!! What do I get? Sorry, I'm slow to get it today. I'm really suffering from this last work week. I just left work early and ready to lay down for awhile...:?:

Oh! BTW...those are absolutely gorgeous bowls!! Wow!

Gorgeous bowls, Oz! Lots of love and work going into them :)

Dp, our friend won't hear a word about it from me.

Katie is Katie...yall know how she is by now. The storm started before I even got up this morning. She wanted to watch her local Catholic church channel but she had pushed the wrong buttons on her remote and gotten the cable whacked out. Of course it was my fault because I was still sleeping and couldn't fix it right away. The day went downhill from there

Cable fixed, a window fixed, yard mowed, I might be done for the day!

Ms Cat, do get some rest!! TGIF :)
