I wasn't deal shopping, really. With the jacked up prices on Amazon & high shipping costs on the reasonably priced ones, I wanted to see what I could get right now locally. Then it was the matter of finding the right one at the right cost. I completely factor in the cost of my time & the cost of the vehicle. I'm not driving across town to save $10 on the exact same item. My fuel & time are worth more than that, making that a loss instead of a savings. I half-settled on the one I ended up bringing home, but in case the one I really wanted was available it was worth looking for it.
This one is really nice, but it's missing a few things from the one I wanted. Either way this brand new, stainless steel 2.0 cu.ft unit is still a touch better than my circa 1983 0.6 cu.ft. unit with zero features... seriously, the thing has 1 knob, no bell, no anything. It's been acting up an awful lot lately & I use a microwave for just about everything. I needed a new one quick before it gave up the ghost.

That was what spawned the trip in the first place. I've been looking at them online for about a week now.
