Ozzy, a good pair of Merrels and some Dr Scholls would be a good fit. I had this one job at a chemical logistics factory and the objective was towing around a metal cart along with a list. I used a pedometer to estimate the distances of each day. 6 miles a shift. Until I got the shoes /insole combo, there was pain. Oh the pain!

Yep J5, I so have a southern accent, tho not specifically a Tx one. I get a lot of "you're not from around here" comments from the locals in Ct
Isaac, the nuke plant work suited me well back in my late 20's to early 30's. I worked 18 months straight of 6/12's night shift during the final testing and start up phase of a second reactor at the plant in Glen Rose, Tx. By the end of that year and a half, I didn't know if I was coming or going! I calibrated torque wrenches and radiation detection equipment.

Don't give him the keys. Trust me. It's all downhill from there. Which reminds me, my youngest needs to "borrow" money. He's 26 (smh). I love them dearly, but JEEZ!
A benny-squirt is where I grasp Jordan's jaw and squirt the benedryl into her mouth. Not too far in the back because she'll choke. I lose a little but it always stops her allergic cough/gasp thing that she does. She gets a little pissy with me afterwards, but like she's the first female I've ...... off? I think not. ;-)

That may have contributed to your back issues now Bov. I KNOW some of the hard work I did when I was younger is a direct result of some of my back issues now.
Oh!! and the subject of comfortable work boots was here somewhere. So here are my steel toed work boots and steel toed rain boots for when I am working in the field. I am very lucky because my work pays for my field gear. They definitely know which "regulator" is on site when I am there.
I only know how to post one way...huge
