Good Morning Mr DPLongo.

Twas no illusion you saw, J5, but instead just a temporary break in the sleep cycle. Jordan decided she wanted to go out (into the COLD). I couldn't get back to sleep immediately so I wandered in here, to see what hi-jinx you and Darlin' might be up to. Much to my surprise, it was relatively quiet.

And then I slept. :)

Morning ladies and gents :)

Petuty still stubbornly attached, looks like I'll be giving that new snow blower another workout over the weekend. But on the bright side...at least we now have a working one. Winter can kiss my big, fat petuty!!

Guess it's a good thing that Ms Katie dragged me all over Hell's half acre yesterday, we got plenty of groceries

Good morning everyone.:) Our Stud is getting surgery? Oh my goodness this is wonderful news! :toast: So tell us J, what exactly does the surgery entail? What's going to happen?

I'm feeling a little better. Going to work at the vape shop today. I put in almost 6 hours yesterday. Kind of weak, but getting stronger.

J, I don't deal with tanks that contain hazardous substances. I only deal with tanks that contain petroleum based substances, and I've only been inside one tank to inspect the interior lining. It's one of those huge field constructed tanks (think 28' in diameter and 38' long (vertical)... following all the health and safety rules to protect myself. They were tanks field constructed underground during the World War II era. It was actually an amazing experience. I had fall gear on and everything.

J, I've discovered on the occasions that I've worked my petuty off, it grows back quite quickly ;)

:laugh: I'm actually okay with the size of my petuty except it could use a "petuty lift"

And I did too. I was so tired I ended up getting about 10 hrs. totaled up. And it felt good.
I love to hear you got some good zzzz's

When he did my last corneal transplant he put in a Intraocular lens that was supposed to attach itself. It flipped so I'm looking through it endways or from one edge to the other which destroys the vision in that eye. He has to go inside my eye and stitch that lens into position.

The sleep was wonderful. I need to do that more often.

I know the gear. When I worked in those huge petroleum, molasses, and other substances storage tanks I had to have air through a hose to my mask. But I was blasting the insides so it got pretty dusty in there.

Oh and you're lucky you don't suffer from excess petuty.

Cat, glad to hear you're feeling better...slowly but surely! And I'm fine with the size of my petuty too, it's the spare tire that I battle! Weebles wobble ;)

Ok kids, I need a confidence boost. I've been tossed a curve ball from my credit card debt and the IRS. The good news is that the debt have been forgiven! The bad news is that Chase Bank reported to the IRS, and sent me a 1099-C, which means that the forgiven $26,000 (yes you read that right) is now considered taxable income for 2014. I meet the requirements to claim an Insolvency Exemption so that no taxes will be owed, and I've downloaded all the tax forms/worksheets from the IRS.

If I managed to do my own divorce, I can handle doing my curve ball taxes, right? RIGHT!! Just reassure me that I got this

DP, this is what we talked about a couple of weeks ago...I know I have your vote of confidence!

Nap time, my brain hurts from all this IRS'ese. It's not my native tongue.

Is that for you or Kevin? I hate it when our wonderful government tries to force people that have nada to pay these large taxes. A good CPA or tax attorney can do wonders Bo. If there's anything I can do to help let me know.

I got my credit score yesterday speaking of credit. I was happy.

I still have to file the return with the Insolvency Exemption, Wharf. No, it's not a joint return, I took responsibility for this debt in our divorce because the card account was mine long before I met him. It was free of debt before I met him, but it was still my account.

J, that pic made me laugh

I'm just thinking, Bov - might it be helpful to try doing it through H&R Block online? They kind of walk you through everything. I don't know the form, but it's highly probable you might find some value.

And yes, I do recall the conversation well. :-(

I have all the paper work I need, already downloaded and printed, along with the worksheets. It's actually pretty straightforward, just a 1040, and form 982. Proving Insolvency is just a matter of filling out the worksheet listing personal assets (I don't think my smile counts here) vs. amount of debt within a couple of months before the date of discharged debt. Why pay H&R Block for something I can do myself? It only sounded complicated because I've never had to do it.

Blue book value on my car is $825. The only valuable things I have are my friends, and I don't think even the IRS can take that away ;)
