I know. I hate to admit, but yes, I am aware that DNS servers don't take this long to update. I don't know what the issue is at this point. I know as much as everyone else in this thread. The last I heard was that Isaac finally got the EPP codes from JustHost and had contacted GoDaddy. But that's the last update I got. I just have no information to share. No known IP addresses except what resolves from Maintenance... :(

We are all rooting for Isaac and hoping he can get this sorted out quickly for his sake and his customers.

I think it is just especially confusing for those of us who are familiar with the process. For instance, you don't even need to change domain registrars to changing hosts/servers - you just change the name servers, which is usually just done by the owner remotely. I have several domains hosted with web hosts that are not the registrar for the domain name. Actually, most of the time I have set or changed the nameservers for a domain name they have resolved in less than 24 hours (maybe I am just lucky, lol). Changing domain registrars should be a seamless process independent of hosting.

Anyway - I think we all just want to see this work out for Isaac, sooner rather than later.

Justhost is the worst. I had a very bad experience with them and they are a pain to get a domain transferred from. Granted that was two years ago. Our site is on a dedicated server now which is about a totally unrelated topic but you definitely need to watch what hosts you go with.

I hope it all works out because they are not too far from me in my home state.

What got Isaac is he had someone else managing his site. He moved everything there. After he realized it wasnt working out he couldnt get them to release it. After he did he had to move to a new location . It was a combination of multiple issues that combined into a perfect website storm

I think what is actually happening is: Issac's last webhost/webdesigner is holding both the domain and database hostage.

I just don't understand why he won't take is e-commerence solution and move it to the direct IP address of his current (new) server, and start a new database. Sure, he would probably have to re-input all the photos/prices/descriptions of products, and everyone would need to create a new account, but at this point it seems that would be faster.

As per Mr. Ikenvape.

I was really hoping for this past Monday but the now former hosting company which reluctantly gave us the codes to help us transfer over neglected to unlock it. So a few lawsuit'ed threats later gained us the key. The transfer is going on right this minute and should take 24-48 hours to be viewed. However, from sending so many orders out this week (individually everything= nightmare but worth it to be there) I'm going to have to start to decline orders for the moment to recalculate inventory which I should be doing on Thursday and Friday.

This might help you better understand it.

From what I gather he has everything released now. He already rebuilt the database. It will not be long. Last post Isaac made he was hoping by the end of the week. Never know though lol.

EDIT
Or what 5C was kind enough to quote ;)

That's a shame, a good product and no shelf to put it on. I understand why he would hate to throw away a good domain name, I would have snapped by now and re-branded. I just hope it works out in the end.

Plus I need a bunch more those 1.7 Ohm XL's cartos :-( I only bought 20 last time ;-)

All this is greek to me.

Fran I think Wharf is of Greek decent so maybe he could help you understand it. LOL

That's right 5'er ~

Fran my Yiayia (grandma) wisely used to say

"πάρα πολύ ........ Είναι πάρα πολύ!!" which translates to "Too much........ Is too much" (smart woman).

I think if she was here today she would say "Θα ανοίξει .......... Όταν ανοίγει!!" which translates to .......................

"It will open.......... When it opens !!!! :p

Yes, and MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) is typically anywhere from 500 to 1000 pieces. I myself thought about going into this... but battling with customs, space limitations, among other reasons... it just wouldn't work out.
