I went for the DSE901 initially and was happy with it. But then there was so much talk about how awesome the Joye 510 was that I eventually caved and got one for myself. At first I didn't like it as much because the vape seemed lighter and less flavorful, even if more consistent. Someone here told me the experience would likely improve once my atty got seasoned, though. Right they were!
For about two weeks I switched off between both units, but found myself reaching for the 510 more often. So I bought several more 510 kits (those sweet $35 deals) and I just love it. Now my 901 parts sit in the tackle box where I store all my supplies and the 510 is all I use. I like the vapor, the size, the weight, the ease of use, the consistency and even find the flavor and hit quite good once the atty gets broken in for a day (the first two days with a new atty are never as nice though).
My only gripe is that the batteries don't last very long. I go through 6-8 a day. That seems excessive. I do tend to chain vape at certain times of the day, though, so maybe people who vape less get better life from them. I get 2-3 hours from a fully charged battery.
I would grumble about the atty life too, but it seems about the same as with my 901. I average two weeks with an atty. I've yet to have one flat out die on me, but the vape starts getting so weak that it's not satisfying. I consider the atties disposable, so having to replace one every two weeks is hardly tragic (especially compared to what I used to spend on analogs!). I haven't bothered trying to cleaning any of them, though. Maybe some could be revived.
So anyway, I'm a happy 510 convert
