Ok, maybe not a doctor - but I feel like one after all the research I've been doing trying to figure out the world of Vape.

First off, thank you ECF - wonderful place, volumes of information and probably saved me a great deal of time, frustration, trial and error and $$ by outlining the ABCs of this. And a huge benefit is learning from other people's experience and past mistakes - so thank you again.

Secondly, I didn't purchase a Blu - again thanks to this forum. No offense to those that enjoy them, or used them as an introduction to vaping - just thinking based on my profile - other alternatives may be better for me.

I am a noob. Or, actually a pre-noob as in I haven't started vaping yet. But given all of the information here - I am ready to take the first step. Forgive me if I ask stupid questions, but there is so much information that this can be a little daunting.

This is my first post - and I'm hoping to post in the Canadian Forum after my 5 as a) I live in Toronto Canada, and b) I have some Canadian specific questions about suppliers etc.

A little about myself....

I 'analog' 10 - 20 times a day. Never less and never more. Been doing that for a good 15 years. I know it is habitual with me - the feel of the analog, the psychological 'want', social situations etc.

So I'm not a vaper - yet. Based on everything I have read - I'm ready to get a starter kit. Starting off I know there are a few things that are important to me....

1. Size matters. I'm not well endowed - and would like my PV to be the same. I think a smaller PV would be ideal as I frequently hold an analog even when not using, and will tuck one behind my ear etc.

2. Keeping the experience as close to traditional analog use/ convenience is important to me - initially. So I'm shying away from the e-liquid at the onset and will get pre-filled cartos. I'm sure I will graduate, get into liquid, better gear and the whole shebang, but I'm trying to take baby steps.

After some consideration I've landed on a KR808D-1 starter kit. Seems like it is low-maintenance, low hassle and ideal for this first time noob.

I hope I'm on the right track.
Thanks again ECF!

I try to keep mine as close to analogs as possible too. I look at refilling as a money saver and a way to get many different flavors inexpensively. It costs ALOT less to refill than to just use prefilled...you could look at it like that.

Yeah - I thought I was going to be buried under snow - but nothing. No complaints here. Yes Canvape. I'm still trying to get my head around when people say 1 hr vaping. I always envision someone sitting down for 60 minutes vaping non-stop. I'm looking to get a pass-through (I think that is right) ala a USB charger or something similar.

Smokeless Image have great analogue type style ecigs called the Volt. They have good battery life (get the longer ones and they should be 3 hours of use around about) they also supply prefilled cartomizers or you can also get blank ones and delve into filling them up when you get more confident. Buying the juice and refilling is more econimical. Good luck and welcome to the world of vaping.

I hear you. Its funny - but the person who introduced me to a e-cig was my brother in law. He had an analog look a like - from some fly by night company. His broke after a week and he went back - but it piqued my interest. Now I'm buying 2 kits - so I figure initially pre-filled cartos will work for us until we figure out the whole e-liquid deal in Canada. I'm sure I'll be using liquid fairly soon - just not right out of the gate.

I meant 1 hr moderate vaping. If you don't mind something slightly larger it can be bought for cheaper. I would suggest at least 650 mah and better yet 1000 mah so when you decide to upgrade your cartomizers it's no problem or extra expense.

You're welcome and I do apologize but I just like to see everyone get:
value
quality
a great vape experience
You can buy a KGO for about $45.00 with a 5% discount- 1100 mah.
KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit

There's just sooo many to choose from and I spent 200+ hrs researching before I bought a PV.
The sad truth is most buy a small PV and within a very short time upgrade to a larger one.

Thanks Vapoor eyes er - that is a great help.

you all completely missed the bit where he said he wants to keep them as close to anologue like as possible? Why does everyone always steer them away to biggest and best? He cant exactly tuck an ego behind his ear? He only smokes 10-15 a day why wouldnt a Volt be sufficiant for his needs? He already indicated he wants to avoid juices to start up? With Volt he can buy prefilled and still buy juices for the same cartomizers down the track if he wants? I followed all of the above advice and 3 months later Im giving away all my ego and 510 gear (the cartomizers do my head in never consistant etc) atomizers, dripping tanks blah blah why cant people just have it simple no fuss? I thought I would save money listening to everyone's advice on egos and mods etc, but nope lookey here Ive done a full circle and now happy with my choice of Volt. Please listen to what the people ask for instead of assuming they dont know what they want.

Dr. Adixx,

Size DOES matter. And the smaller the eCig the less the performance. : (

IMHO, this is about bettering your life. Put an analog behind your ear and get at least a 650 mAh eGo type battery. We need the throat hit, the full lungs and the predictability of always being able to get our nic fix. Analogs are good at that - plain and simple - unfortunately, they also deliver hundreds of chemicals, and yada yada....

The pass-thru is a great idea cuz it will not fail you in the "power" department. Still, you need a good PV that will perform and deliver the vapor that satisfies enough to keep the nic cravings away. You can hold a larger PV in your hands and get the tactile feeling you get from analogs, the only thing the "size of an analog" will give you is the behind the ear moment.

Not sure if you can order and receive one of these (they ship to Canada) but it is very reasonably priced for a starter kit.

Probably because the majority of us started with "analog like" eCigs and didn't find the Volt. If it works, then I agree. It's sort of human nature that when a person asks your opinion to give them a response with what you've experienced, as well. But, I hear ya. : )

Calm down. If you have an alternative suggestion please offer it in a civilized manner. Flaming does not help the OP.
I'm outta here...
