Hi! New here, obviously. Been vaping for two weeks. Started with a little stick that was handed down to me. Bought a box a couple days ago. I have an issue. I've got an aspire mini nautilus tank for the box. (Sorry if my terms are incorrect, but you get what I mean by stick and box, right??)
Anyway, I refilled the tank on the box (the mini nautilus) today... Easy peasy, once I got the vacuum-sealed tank off (quite a task with the air flow adjustment ring thing)...
Actually, that's my issue... The air flow ring thing. I could have sworn that the holes were completely open before I refilled the tank, but now there's only a sliver open on each setting and every setting besides the largest does not function. The smaller air flow settings... The best I can describe it is that they act clogged. I don't know how to fix it. Nothing I do makes the air flow holes open. I was very careful not to over-tighten anything. I don't know what I did wrong. If there wasnt a blizzard outside, I'd just go to the vapor shop (I shudder at the word "Vape"). Please tell me there's a way to fix this.

What's wrong with the word vape? I vape... :2cool:

The nautilus mini has an airflow control ring. When it's assembled, it should turn one direction or the other or both, revealing different sized holes and allowing different amounts of airflow. You may have just reinstalled it at the smallest hole, so just twist it and see how it goes. Otherwise, you may have just reassembled it wrong (highly unlikely; the thing isn't that complicated).

Lol the word "Vape" just annoys me. Not sure why, doesn't bother me when other people say it. I don't like saying it, myself.
As for the airflow control, I know how to adjust it, but it appears to be nearly closed no matter which setting I put it on. When I look into the hole, there's only a teensy sliver "open" at the top of the hole, when I could have sworn the whole hole was completely and totally open on the highest setting, at least, when I first acquired the tank a couple days ago.

It took me alittle while to get mine to function completely perfect but after I figured out a few tips I LOVE This tank one tip is to store it upside down when not in use for extended amounts of time (overnight etc) with the drip tip (part you inhale from) taken out of the tank. and do you know what kind of Box it is? could you post a picture? also if it starts gurgling one thing i've found to do is to blow through the mouth piece with the airhole wide open and it will clear it out some! Welcome to the forum!

Mine was functioning completely, perfectly fine until I refilled the tank today. The box is an istick 20w 5.5v, but that's not the issue. The box is fine. The settings on it have not been changed at all and it's almost fully charged. Again, everything was great until I refilled the tank today.
The airflow hole appears to be almost closed on every setting. I had it set on the next-to-lowest setting before refilling it and the flow was perfect for me. Now that setting is like trying to suck a rock through a Capri Sun straw. I have to have it on the highest setting to get the flow I had before. It is accurately clicked into position, there is no gurgle, and my fingers are not even near the holes.

When I look into the airflow hole, the hole on the *inside* is obstructed by metal, except for the tiniest sliver. I didn't think it was like that before, but i could be wrong. That's all im asking. Is it supposed to be like that? I can try to take pics on my dumbphone... Give me a bit.

image.jpg here's the whole thing...
And tried to get close up of the airflow hole...
image.jpgSee the shiny bit inside? That's coming from the inside of the inner hole. Again, it's clicked into place. The obstructing metal is inside the inner hole.

I appreciate the advice very much, but I know how to adjust the flow. I know to turn it to adjust flow. I know it clicks into place. That is not my problem. I'm just asking if the inner hole is supposed to be mostly obscured by metal or not. If it is supposed to be like that, then I probably just did something else wrong. I've taken it apart, cleaned everything, etc. and it seems to be working a bit better now... I just need to know if the hole within the hole of the accurately adjusted airflow adjustment ring is supposed to be wide open or if it's supposed to only be partially open. Do I need to take it to the vapor shop and exchange it or is it supposed to be that way? Again, I really do appreciate the help, and I'm sorry if I seem frustrated. I just spent too much money on this for it to be broken a few days later. :)

The metal piece inside is perfectly normal (see pic of mine). If you are planning to poke it with a paper clip, please do it gently to unclog any debris or stuff that is blocking the hole.

My suggestion is to try soaking the bottom part (with the coil head removed) in hot water for a few minutes. You can try using a can of compressed air to blow dry after cleaning. If not, just use napkin and dry it.
