Remember, if you still hang out under the same tree to vape, that you hung out under when you smoked (I do), now you're not gonna have the smoke to drive away the insects. In S. Florida, you notice that right away with the mosquitoes
I think about half the people who replied to this thread didn't read the OP, but I do thank you for your support.
I should have worded the title, "After two weeks of vaping I'm considering a cigarette for a reason you wouldn't suspect" however that is way too long.
I'm going to clean my tank out and put in the highest VG juice I have and start looking for 100% VG juice online that I can get here quickly or perhaps some unflavored but I don't know where to look. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thank you.
Edit: I did take an antihistamine and am about to take a cool shower per someone's recommendation in the thread, I will post as soon as I figure more out.
Is it painful at all. I was thinking possible shingles.. They can break out anywhere on you body... hope you find the answer and wishing you well.
I have never had them, caring for my mother she had them.. Also a young man who worked at the same company I did, had them.. So I certainly hope this is not the case.Goodness Bootie, hope not for him/her. But you're right. I think it's like 1 out of 4 adults have/get that at least once in their lifetime. I was shocked when I read that.
Good luck.

Howdy folks, I hope everyone is well.
I quit smoking about two and a half weeks ago and started vaping exclusively on 20pg/80vg and 18mg juice. Other than the occasional dry mouth and feeling flu-like for two to three days it was a fairly easy transition. I have no known allergies, except maybe dogs and cats that shed and the occasional sneeze when things are blooming in spring. I'm not allergic to any foods that I know of, which brings me to my next point.
I've had no PG allergy symptoms for over two weeks, no headache, sore throat, nothing, not one symptom of what you would see if you googled a list of PG allergy symptoms. However two days ago, maybe three, I started getting bug bite like bumps on my shoulder/neck area. There's about three on the lower right side of my neck/shoulder area and they look like gnarly, raised bug bites and they sting/itch. There are a few smaller ones on the lower left part of my neck and shoulders as well, they sort of came out of nowhere. I fear I'm going to have to go back to smoking cigarettes, I've had over half a pack that sitting in a drawer from when I quit.
I just feel really discouraged, everything was going so well not smoking and now I have these burning red bumps that I assume are hives, which I've never had before ever. I'm truly considering going and lighting one up. Sorry that this thread turned into more of a rant, I just had to say it to someone. Thanks for reading.

Do a google search for "quit zits." It's common for some smokers to develop them after quitting. I was a pack a day smoker for 23 years. About 3-4 weeks after I quit smoking and started vaping, I developed bumps on my face that were rather large and sore to the touch. I never had bad acne growing up so this puzzled me. Of course I first thought that vaping was causing it and began researching it online. I found that many people experience this after quitting cigs. As someone mentioned already if I recall, your body is trying to purge itself of the toxins from the cigs. I was desperate to stay off cigs so I dealt with it the best I could. For me, the bumps continued for around 3-4 months and then went away on their own. I didn't change my PG/VG ratios and kept right on vaping. Now 13 months later and I'm still off the cigs and haven't seen any bumps in 7-8 months. Hang in there, it does get better.

After reading what a lot of VG is made from, I think far more vapers may be sensitive to it than PG. It's nuts... Nut allergies and sensitivities seem to be all the rage these days with the generation born after me...
