I'm ashamed to say that after two weeks vaping I want a cigarette

Hey Steve. Ya know, makes no sense to me. You'd think with VG everywhere in just about everything we eat, smell and touch. Yet I ran into the heavy chest syndrome chasin' high vg DIY vapes with two different vg sources (most have no problems with). Ultimately I found a source that suited me. So yeah I agree with ya. Something for folks to consider…even if they never have.

Good luck all.

:)

Maybe it is just the way one is exposed to it, via heating and inhalation. I can't handle too much VG, either- heavy chest feeling and almost drowning feeling after a long session, yet I have no known allergies...

PG is everywhere, as well, and many also seem to be sensitive to it...

That is so funny. And I have to suspect something about VG but that would be a long discussion. I came by way of the Blu and Johnson Creek and their 100% VG is remarkably the opposite of viscous. More like something <70%VG which was pretty much everything else I started with. PG tho was extremely irritating to me. The lack of thickness I think is appealing and one of the reasons I still recommend JC to newcomers who might have PG issues (as in this instance) and folks who run into the thickness problem with other juices as I did. I feel for ya because I love the vapor and flavor potential of 100% VG. And thanks to superX's prodding I'm vaping more straight VG these days than ever. It's a nice break that heightens the flavor experience in contrast.

Take care and good luck steve.

Thanks, you, as well. Speaking of JC, I found some forgotten unopened bottles of Tundra, Merango, Tennessee Cured and Domestic from the VEA days. May give them another try...

try Mt baker vapor... there are many who sell 100% vg although I can't say if they use vg as the base for the flavoring. HHV is another one... ec blends is alike too
another cheap vendor is yaeliq from Israel... they can ship worldwide and have 100% vg option if I am not mistaken.

another one maybe Boba's bounty from alien vision. it is max vg liquid although by saying max, I think it is all vg + flavoring with pg based.

how is your rash anyway?

A quick update before this gets lost in the ether. :)

Those 5-6 red itchy bumps were either two things as I've continued vaping the same PG/VG and they've gotten better. It was either a symptom of cigarette cessation and getting some of those baddies out of my system, or it was an angry spider trapped in my shirt.

There is a large tree that I often walk around under while vaping at night (use to smoke there) and it's possible one of those dangly little guys wasn't too happy about being stuck under cloth and tried to bite his way to freedom.

Regardless, they're slowly getting better day by day and today is the first day they haven't itched. Thank you to all those who chimed in with information, I found it very helpful. Have a good one! :D

two days ago, maybe three, I started getting bug bite like bumps on my shoulder/neck area. There's about three on the lower right side of my neck/shoulder area and they look like gnarly, raised bug bites and they sting/itch. There are a few smaller ones on the lower left part of my neck and shoulders as well, they sort of came out of nowhere.
I just noticed you live in ARKANASAS. Me too.

"bug city"

the rain has caused a LOT of mosquitos, and teh chiggers and spiders and fleas are out in masses.

Are you sure you didn't get something while sleeping? You could certain go to doc and ask, they can look at bumps under magnification and tell you immediately if it is a bite or a rash /allergy type thing.

I really don't think it's an allergy, but that's because I live in AR and often find that I've gotten bitten all over by "something" this time of year.

Yeah I don't recall having bites like these, but they sure did look like bites, itched like bites, so it's gotta be bites, right? Haha... I just wanted to be sure that's why I posted here originally, I wasn't sure if anyone had PG allergy symptoms similar to what I was having.

It's good I did post here though as it eased my worries and I figured it all out thanks to you guys. Also it's cool seeing another Arky on the forums. :)
