Hey all just saying hi and that I am back, no pictures because it was located in Conn. Mystic aka boondox, I will post a video to show you what it was like.

The hotel was a day's inn, and I have found mold, flees, bugs and a lot of crap everywhere. It was so disgusting!

Well here is the video, for NCIS fans, magee was not himself in this!
YouTube - NCIS - Boondocks, boss.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay but Mystic is hardly the boonies, lol! Less than an hour from Yale, beautiful seaport full of sailboats gliding by, quaint restaurants etc. Chowderfest there is a treat for the tummy!

As far as the Day's Inn, ya get what ya pay for. I would suggest one of the many darling B&B's next time you're there. My husband grew up an hour away and I'm always in awe of ivy-covered towns. *sigh*

How did you not get to that beautiful seaport? I think you need a do-over!!

And I feel you on NY...I grew up in Manhattan; Chelsea to be exact. Talk about everything right around you!

Welcome back KK.

Most places are a hit or miss these days.

Ive stayed at a road-side Ecco-lodge, out of necessity, that was actually clean and nice. And then went to a Holiday Inn that was gross and disgusting.

Glad you had a good time.

You really should see what its like when you go out west to the real rural areas. Like rural south Eastern Kansas. lol. Where Downtown is 1 building.
Gas stations are located along the 2 lane highways only in the towns, which are spaced apart by about 25-50 miles. houses are about 1-3 miles apart on the highway. No radio stations available because they are too far away. Been through that area once. Definately a much different way of life. Mostly farming country.

I have family in the more urban part of Kansas, but Ive travel through some pretty rural sparsly populated areas. I do remember one place in Arkansas, though, that has a population 52 sign when you entered the town limits, which was quite interesting.

Lol yeah, everything is right here with me, I am in long island, so I have port jeff, a mall, outlets... everything I want is right by me, I go to port jeff and hang there if I want a water scene, I go to the woods by my house if I want to be alone, I go to the mall to see people, I have everything lol.

The seaport was ok, I mean I have port jeff by me, theres a town that is like 4 5 blocks of stores alone, so I expected that lol.

Oh yeah, there is some great places that are around, it is just where/what you like, and scenery.

Sorry I have not posted back to this in a while, I have been catching up with my small group of friends, I have had some drama go down with a pathological lier. So I have been back and trying to cool my friends down.

I was thinking about some of the vacations that my husband and I have taken that, to other people, would be horrifying and, looking back, they were some of the most memorable and fun times ever.

Like the time we had to stop at some no name motel in the middle of Nowheresville, NC and it was like a prison room complete with cinderblocks and all. But we found the best little BBQ stand by staying there and pigged out in our room.

If you can do this with your recent experience, just find one thing that made it funny, or even the worst ever, it'll have been worth it. Hope the drama in your life is calming down!

Oh yeah, we found some cool things to do, we got a board game, we were out most of the day, we had fun all in all.

Yeah the dramas starting to cool down, all my friends are 25-32, but this kid is my age, 21. I try to stay with older people because I just hate the drama, talking behind others back, all that. That is why my gf is 25 lol, she is mature, not like the 20 year old girls who are just worried about fooling around.
