crap…So to speak….

After too many trial and error forays…I’ve returned to solely using an eGo with genuine Joytech cartomizers…Cigarettes were costing me about 13 bucks a day when I smoked(7.50+ per pack)…The problem is after giving up the expensive analogs…all of a sudden I also turned into the mad scientist…Dr. Cheap…I’ve tried to use cartos longer than I should have…and wallowed away hours trying to coax, clean or fiddle with other carts, cartos, tanks and mods

While vaping has helped my life and health take big turn for the better… It’s also taken up too much time and created too many hassles…..mostly do to my penny-pinching…

Well this is all coming to an end…I’m budgeting myself enough money for using 1 carto a day…That’s probably about double what I need to satisfy my vaping/nicotine habit…Including my juice consumption…and averaging out batteries/passthroughs and chargers….I doubt I will ever exceed for one month what I paid for a weeks worth of cigarettes….

My coffee table will no longer be a vaping graveyard/.... lab…After I deem a carto to be past it’s prime …it will go into the garbage..As someone here once said…I want vaping…..and satisfying my nicotine habit…..to become less a part of my life…not more part of it…

Considering for over 20+ years….all it took to keep me happy getting my nicotine fix was a small paper tube of tobacco and a cheap bic lighter…There is no reason a simple vaping system…can’t achieve the same results… without all the added chaos…..

hhahaha!! I went through the lab phase; can't say I miss it. But I also agree with your main line: there is indeed absolutely no reason why one can't have a simple vaping system and enjoy it without the added chaos and lab madness. I too have reverted to my Riva (and one xlong kr808d1) with cartos containing only three flavors, and it certainly beats the $12/day habit I had going ;)

All the best

In very short order, I have streamlined my vaping. A PT on the comp, a PT in my truck. A Buzz, and Infinity and a couple 808 manuals for backup. IkenVape mega 808's. Juice. Done. No dripping, no box mods, no crazy devices. No DIY juices. Found some flavors (juice) I like, and I'm done.

Cigarettes were something that controlled my life. Vaping will not. I was a 2 1/2 to 3 PAD. In NY, that's $25 a day or more. Even if I don't boil or clean cartos, I'm at less than $1.50 a day, and all I have to do is refill cartos.

This was an endevour to battle an addiction, an obsession, not to replace it with another. I'm barely over 3 weeks in, and I'm settled.

For the most part I have Bottom Feeding Boxes, Batteries, and Bottles...
I used to have a table covered with stuff too.

Now I have several box mods lined up neatly,
one old Riva box full of 18650 batts,
another with attys and the like,
and a basket of juice bottles.

The ProVari stands proud with a MAP Tank on top and an atty with a drip tip next to it.

That's about as simple as I've been able to make it.

I still have a cleaning day, where everything gets spread out a little, but nothing like it was a couple of months ago.

I love my "hobby". I have more PV's than I do bloomers. I have more juices than I can vape in a year and I vape about 5ml a day. Does it run my life? No. I won't let it but I love to see what new pretties are coming into the vaping world. Do I plan to give up vaping? Yes, when they pry my mods from my cold dead hands.

If you've found something that works for you, stick with it. That's what everyone wants. If you've found it, great! Leave the collecting to crazy cats like me.

Oh! I really needed a good laugh and you gave it to me! I am laughing with you and for sure not at you. I do exactly the same as you describe and it seems to consume my life! I get so frustrated sometimes. But, I just can't make myself throw away a perfectly good carto when I know that I am able to clean and reuse it. I have just recently started to DIY and I am getting more organized with all of this stuff so it does not seem as bad as it was. I am also learning that I don't need 100 + flavors in my arsenal. 50 works just fine.:D

I have quite a few PVs, and I certainly enjoy making them as well... But I completely agree with stopping the madness!

I DIY my juice, and vape between 7 and 10ml per day at this point. A few months ago, I grew tired of mixing every couple of days, so I mixed up a huge batch of my all day vape... 200 ml of it, to be exact. I bottled it in 30 ml bottles with lure lock tops, and I twist a needle on there to fill cartos fast. The 200ml lasted nearly a month, and during that month I realized I had more time on my hands for other things... For me, this is a better way to vape! The next time I mixed, I made 400ml... That's almost gone, so next week I'm mixing a Full liter of the stuff. A liter should last me at least 3 1/2 months.

I'm completely satisfied with my PVs, most of which are variable voltage types, but I seem to always be on a quest for a fixed voltage system that performs just as well. So far that doesn't exist, and it probably won't happen, but hardware experimentation is far less messy than making juice.

Cigarettes were simple. Almost too simple... I think that's why many people go back to analogs... The gas station always has the brand you loved, and no planning is involved. The lighters are all lined up like little soldiers on the counter... Some day, maybe you'll hit the corner food mart for that midnight bottle of back woods brew, but until that day comes, this will always be more complex than smoking.

I hear you copper and couldnt agree more. It does consume too much of my time also and I'd really like it to stop. My issue was I hadnt found anything that was simple enough to stop me from looking for something more. Now I have for the most part.

I started out with a regualr 510 but what a pain to have to top off every 10 mins and screw around with fillers and filler mods. PITA. Then I got the eGo-T. Love the eGo-T even with its inconsistent issues. Then I got a map tank to go on my eGo batts. I think I'm done searching as well as I dont think it really gets much simpler than this. I can use my eGo-T's when I dont want to scare folks with the map tank mod, and mostly use my map tank. I dont have to mess with it. I fill and I'm good for at least a day on one tank. I clean it after every tank, a 10 min process at most. I've found my all day vape juices, and now realize that I dont NEED 50 options for juices, 5-6 is just fine. The only thing I would like is a Provari, but cant really afford it or justify spending that much money on a mod when my eGo batts work just fine.

I hope to be just sort of fading off this site as well as it does consume far too much time of mine... too much info overload and always something new to learn. I have what I need, and need to leave it at that.

With the OP not at----
The majority goes through it. I use NicoSticks of some fashion mostly. I do have a 510 w/bat for when I want something more ciggy looking.
As for juice, I'm still trying different ones just for variety---I have a major sweet tooth and and haven't found all my favorites. My main flavor, I make up six ounces at a time. Did drip but now use the Clearomizers so once a week (usually during the weekend), I clean and fill which leaves the week to grab and go or experiment with the above.

Related, and FWIW, I've been using these 510 cartomizers:

Premium 510 Cartomizers

And they are fantastic. I've had the same one running for 4 days now and several refills, and it hits clean, no burned taste, and (knock on wood) so far has been awesome. I bought 10 of them, and will definitely be buying more once they're in stock. It sounds like you vape more than I do, but hopefully you can try this (or something like it) and it'll save you a few bucks.

I’m glad my late night rant didn’t cause any flame throwing….I respect everyone’s right to have their vaping experience be whatever they want it to be…I’m just offering up my own personal thoughts

I think my frustration…and hence my rant…is being biased by my personal view of the vaping "industry"… be it manufacturers or suppliers alike…While a small number may be…most of us vapors aren’t vaping just for the fun of it…We are…like it or not…part of a "captive" audience…

I’m not referring to small time operators or tinkers…The folks who enjoy the challenge of trying to improve…. for themselves and others..their vaping experience…I’m more concerned that manufactures might be putting profits above the real needs of their consumers…Vaping is still fairly new enough that there is a need for new and improved products …But when I see the plethora of fairly expensive products…lots seemly not well made or tested… and subtle creations of club-like cult followings…it gives me pause….

Is possible my long time juice supplier would manipulate the nicotine level in my juice bottle if they see my new orders begin requesting a lower nic level?…I’d hope not...

Maybe I’m just being paranoid…but if we start seeing "vaping miles" being offered…..it won’t bode well for any of us……
