So...I'm using my KGO (fully charged) and a fresh xl dual coil cartomizer along with my favorite 18 mg peppermint ice cream juice. I'm noticing I'm just NOT getting the satisfaction from vaping that I was a week ago! (Very little throat hit.) I have to take a couple of primer draws before getting to the real draw and a warm, sorta satisfying hit. What's wrong?!?

I'm new too. I found that I didn't have as good of a throat it off of the dual coal as I did just a single coil, Boge, or Smoketech 510. My guy Jason at my local E-Cig City said for the KGO the dual coils aren't as good.

How long have you had the KGO? I heard at four months the batteries start to go down some.. just a thought. I'm sure others with great expertise will chime in too :)

You know, he posted a comment today that might help you. I'm including it in here. It's in the forum under ""New So. California Store"

Hey Calsax,
Of course I can explain. If you pull the end cap and look down the top of a SmokTech Dual-coil Carto, you will see a small black wire loop coming from the inside of the silica tube and down into the fiber fill wicking. I have a pair of small clippers, from radio shack, that just fits right down inside the end of the cartos, but you can even use a small pair of scissors. Just clip that top wire and presto, you now have a single coil 3.0ohm XL Cartomizer.
Please do not hesitate to ask if you need any clarification my friend,

I just don't get what I want from the DC SmokTech cartos, and maybe this will help. You can either reply here, or PM me, or ask for my email and I will PM that to you.

Thanks, and have a great day!

I have really liked my KGO. I had a tank on yesterday, and last night switched back to the Boge, and the difference is amazing really. I'm using a 1.7 ohm. I think you will like it.

I just got my KGO in February. I am ordering some boges as we speak in hopes that is the problem. UGH!

They do make different ohm dual coils that can help with that. I think they range from 1.25 on up to 3 or I have even seen 4 ohm dual coils discussed. With your KGO I would think you wouldn't want to go above 2 ohm dual coil to get a decent hit. The also make a 1.7 single coil that works well with them for a warmer and stronger vape. I am also pretty new but use both single coils and dual coils in my tank depending upon the juice. I also use a tank system with the cartos so I don't have to keep filling. You might look at the 1.7 single coil or double check which dual coil you are using. Good luck!

I'm not sure if it may be what I experienced. I used 3.7 for about 3 months and started needing more of a throat hit and stronger vape. I got a cheap 5v passthrough and realized it was wonderful. I have been hooked on 5v vaping ever since and the 3.7 just doesn't seem to get it for me anymore. I know alot of people have been using 3.7v for ages and love it still, but that was just my experience.

the desensitization thing could be true as well as my kgo never leaves me and is like my pacifier. I'm a little concerned and hope the new boges do the trick because I just ordered some new liquid, decreasing my nicotine amount from 18 mg to 12 mg. Haven't used it yet but from what I hear it will ALSO cause a decrease in th. Ugh...I thought it would be fine if I changed flavors so I wouldn't compare to my normal, everyday vape but now that I'm experiencing the weak th I'm reconsidering. LOL!

Many things can cause vapor production changes. I've found that if I leave juice in most any of my cartos/clearos for longer than a day or two without use, they get clogged up and don't function as well anymore. I can usually up the voltage on my battery and get more vapor, and it may or may not revive it. But overfilling can cause that as previously mentioned as well. Those have been the main 2 things that have caused me to have low vapor production (and low throat hit). Usually replacing the carto resolves it.

you guys won't believe what knuckleheaded move I've JUST discovered I've made...for one thing the last order of e-liquid I am currently using...the VG is 70 and the PG is 30...accident number one...2nd thing I've done is buy 3 new bottles of juice and made THE SAME MISTAKE! Wow...I just made ANOTHER quick order from tvr and got the flavor of the week creme de menthe 18 mg nic and 70/30 PG/VG...UGH!!! I feel 'toooopid.
Can anyone tell me if the creme de menthe is gonna be good? :'(

Heavy VG is the culprit! I'm glad you found out before spending a lot. You can thin the juice with water (preferably distilled) or straight PG if you've got it, otherwise its drip, PIF or swap!

If you can get the same flavors with all PG that might be a better alternative. Diluting will dilute the flavoring and the nic.

I had the same problem after a few months of vaping. I had to upgrade to a VV box mod to get the TH that I was desperately missing after using my Riva 510. Now if I want more TH I just turn up the dial and.....:vapor::vapor:
