As I have been sitting reading all the threads from here and there and every where I'm becoming more and more disgusted on how us vapors are acting. You have threads about the elitist and you have threads downing a reviewer. Are we not a community supposed to watch out for one another. If some one wants to think they are a elitist because they own a authentic mod, RDA, RBA and not a clone who gives a [Moderated], if you think you are a elitist because you only will buy a clone then who gives a [Moderated]. I thought the point into vaping was to try and save our lives and not buy the ciggys, but this has become who is better than whom. People slinging mud at each other and for WHAT??? If a reviewer gives a honest opinion then let them without bashing them. If they have others safety in mind then let them. If you don't like what they have to say then don't watch or read what they have to say. So because a company doesn't like that persons opinion should we just take the reviewer out back and shoot them because they are giving a honest opinion? I don't think so. A company that doesn't want to open the ears and listen not just to a reviewer or the purchaser then that is a pee poor company. They ( Amerivape) are spinning webs around the lies they keep telling but still insist it's because of one reviewer( Come on people common sense here) it's not because of that it's because they as a company don't give a crap about you they give a crap about making money. End of story on that. Now for the mods and what have you. I don't think I'm a elitist because I don't own a clone I don't think I'm better than anyone. If I couldn't afford a original then I would be happy just to have what ever might be available to keep me off of cigs and just save to get what I wanted. Nobody is any better than anyone in this world. Some can afford the real stuff and some can't. I can't afford what I wanted or I couldn't get my hands on a mod that I wanted due to only so many produced. So in some way I can see why stuff will get cloned. But we all need to stick together and get our heads out of the sand and stick with each other and not against each other. Stop the bashing!! okay my rant is over and not sure if it all made sense but at this point in time it did to me.

I do not see the bashing you speak of on a regular bases. I do know there are some that believe that buying clones is wrong and they do voice their opinion. But most often I see clones recommended to people that are looking to get into mechanical mods without spending a small fortunate.

Personal I own both, I don't expect people to spend what I have for some of my equipment. And I honestly love some of my clones and they are the ones that leave the house with me. If people want to judge me for that either for buying clones or spending my money on an over priced tube... so be it. I am not religious, but I love the saying "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

I know people that pirate movies all day long, but condemn buying clones.. now that hypocrisy at it's best.

Either way you look at it, I see more people here willing to support somebody and their choices then I see bashing. And the elitist will soon have to change their tune a little now that Hcigar and Ehpro are starting to make their own mods and devices. And both are making changes and improvements to designs that even the original creator has yet to implement.

i don't see anything elitist about people who only buy authentic gear.

some people respect the original modder's design and efforts into creating their products. some people don't care about any of that choose to buy counterfeits.

i don't see much elitism going around where people are looking down or talking trash on people who buy counterfeits. in fact, this forum is probably the most counterfeit friendly forum i go to. sure, there are debate threads arguing both sides of the argument, but i don't see anything hostile.

i didn't see anyone bashing todd either. in fact, most people are very supportive of todd. there's some people who are critical of todd's methods of testing for venting (i'm critical about that as well). the blowing through the tube with your mouth isn't valid. aside from that, todd is great and his reviews are awesome.

critical critism and healthy debates are great. when there are no questions/arguments/disagreements, there's no point in having a forum. might as well have information web pages that people read.

Can I be disgusted about lack of paragraph breaks, resulting in unread posts? (Rants can be dangerous things...)
Well sorry about no paragraph breaks, But at the time I was writing this I was reading other forums along with this one. So if you don't like me not having them then sorry. But I was a bit upset while writing and just let my fingers go and didn't care about how I wrote it. Didn't know writing some thing I would get criticized on how I wrote. The point I wanted to make was what was going on in some of the threads on here and other places. Next time I will make sure I write like a normal person, excuse me for my rant miss writings. What a community I have joined. Like being in school all over again :) enjoy your day folks I have other things to do :)

I dunno, lately I see so much sniping at each other around here, I'm wondering if some people perhaps need to increase their nicotine slightly, or add some WTA. Seems everytime I get interested in a thread, it's filled with so much sniping that eventually a mod just closes it down. That's pitiful, for folks that are supposedly "adults."

Even if we may disagree with someone, I don't get why it's then necessary to be so rude in that disagreement that a moderator has to get involved and close it down for everyone.

If I find a thread so disagreeable that I can't be rational, I leave the thread. End of. The constant sniping and insulting just because you disagree with someone... seems a lot more like kindergarten, maybe primary school, than an ostensibly adult forum.

Just my own :2c:

Well most people support Mark. But you have others that just won't let things go. I know people have opinions and that is fine for the most part. I think clones are fine for whoever wants them also. Just read some place else about the elite thing and seen something on here a few times which bothered me. Guess I shouldn't as it will never end. We will always have clones and the originals and I believe in that also.

Well you worded this a bit better than me, but at the time wasn't thinking about how I wrote things. I know I was enjoying being on here as I was learning a few things from the post. But now it seems like everyone is getting snippy. I didn't think it was just me seeing this. But thank you for your input :)

Recently I have seen some threads started (particularly from one un-named member here) that are simply started to start *arguments, not debates, but arguments. These threads quickly become hostile, and quickly become closed by the mods. About halfway in, he will state "this was meant to _____" where his approach seems much less "stirring." I think if we all would think about how we present our ideas or opinions, they could be welcomed in a much better way.

ie: Let's just say that you truly want a discussion surrounding the pros and cons of clones vs authentics, I would rather see:

"I have authentics, and prefer them over clones because _______. What are your thoughts on this?"

Instead, I am seeing:

"Clones suck and authentics are the only thing worth vaping on!!!!"

Personally, I am more likely to respond to the first....

Just my :2c: on how we could all be less harsh towards each other. My rant is over too. :D

Much like a one-liner that doesn't contain capitals or periods I guess.
I don't mean to pile on, but you really do have a good point there.

This forum is getting a little bit too big to avoid the kinds of problems the OP rants about.
But we sure did have a good run for a few years.
:)

Anyway, if everyone would just remember that it's not what you say, but how you say it...

And in the end we all should be supportive to those that want to quit smoking and make sure that any regulations that do come down the pike are reasonable and fair, rather then just a complete ban or extensively taxed... that's where our efforts should lie.

Nobody is any better than anyone in this world.

That's not true. See that guy over there? No, not him, the other one. See the guy with the too small Iron Maiden t-shirt with holes in it and with the orange Cheetos fingers on one hand and the finger from his other hand up to the knuckle in his nose? I'm better than him. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I am better than him.
