Hi all,

I smoked analogs at about 2 packs a day for 30 years.

I've been lurking awhile and finally bit the bullet (or eGo) and bought an eGo from cignot last week and 30mg ecopure rich. It arrived Saturday. Read on for a short essay on my experience to date (lol) with questions at the end you can skip to if you get bored.

Day One:
After ripping open the package on Saturday and putting three drops of ecopure in my ego's cartridge and having no clue what I'm doing.. I took my first hit.

....and was dissapointed.

Mmmkay soo it tasted a little burnt and kinda airy and not like my 30 year old affair with Marlboro Lights.

I immediately lit an analog.

So I periodically would take hits from my eGo and then have an analog. I think I had about 10 cigarettes that day. Maybe a few more if I was being totally honest.

Day Two:
Picked up the eGo more today. Still tasted dry and harsh. Not sure if I'm doing this right. But I only smoked 5 analogs. (somehow.. I promised I wouldn't restrict myself.. just didn't smoke many..MAGIC!)

Went online and ordered a TON of fancy flavors from Tasty Vapor and Ms Ts.

Day Three:
Vaped lots more. Realized my filter in the cartridge was bone dry and think I solved the problem. It made a big difference for me. The initial feeling of craving a cigarette after a few hits on the eGo has faded. (which, by the way, is a surreal feeling on it's own.) Had 3-4 analogs. Really making a point to drink more water. Noticing I'm dehydrating a bit.

Skip to Day Five:
Got my Tasty Vapor Waffles order in 24mg. Okie.. I love this. I noticed my stuffy nose and sore throat is lightening up. I can breathe just a little easier I think. 1 analog cigarette before bed. Found myself wishing I was vamping. Which was BIZARRE.

Today:
Happily vamping away on my new Waffles (which I love). I feel satisfied and no analogs and not even desiring one. Really happy I tried this!

So my questions for the Veterans!

1. What is a good upgrade from the eGo for taste, hit, etc?
I love my ego. I'm going to buy another kit from cignot in case of malfunction or apocalypse etc. But what is another step up? Something not too-too complicated.

2. Will my sore throat completely go away?
I figure this is an adjustment period. I periodically get a sore throat or a lump in my throat.

3. Is my hair going to look like a scarecrow if I don't drink a keg of water a day?
I already have a dry hair problem because I had weight loss surgery a year ago and while I am shrinking my beautiful lush long hair has turned into a haystack. I don't want to add to it. :/

4. Is there an easy article or post that explains lr attys and cartridges and stuff?
I've read soooo many great articles on here but still hasn't clicked with me.

5. I tend to vape for 10 mins then I drip 3-5 more drops in my cartridge. Is there an illustrated explanation of how to keep your cartridge loaded?
I noticed it's dry at the very bottom and keep topping it off and my atty sometimes has a very slight gurgle. I feel like I am constantly dripping more liquid into the cartridge. I wish I could know if I'm doing it right or not.

Thank you so much!

Kurt

welcome jeseryn! sounds like you are off and running with a good start! There are LOTS of directions you can go, depending on the money you want to spend, but here are my thoughts to get more bang for less bucks.

The eGo is a 3.1V device, so about the same voltage as regular 510 batts, but longer lasting. You might try low resistance attys on the eGo to get more power out of it. Alternatively, you could try a simple box mod:

Box Mod

They are 3.7V, and cheaper than the eGo, but you will need a charger for the 14500 batt...they are about $12. The extra voltage is noticeable, and you should be able use your existing attys. A 5V passthrough is a good thing to have for more power too.

Your sore throat/lump issues sound very much like what I get from PG juices (PG = propylene glycol). This is a somewhat common reaction to PG...it dries some people out, and water doesn't help as much as it should. Try some vegetable glycerin (VG) juices, and see if this solves it. High nic will also do this a bit too, but for me it was a PG thing, and now all my juices are VG-based, and the problem has been solved.

Hopefully you will get other suggestions here too, but these are mine. Good luck and happy vaping!
