I'm sorry I did not read the whole article. Is it only illegal in Oregon then? Or just in the US? Is it still OK to buy them?

If I myself went and said all the things that ASH said... especially made a public press release and went international media with it - I could be nailed for liable in a second. Rightfully so mind you. SE and any other company that is impacted by such slanderous information without grounds and resource would be completely within their rights to sue me into oblivion for the rest of my days for losses, etc.
However, when it comes to a large political group that has somehow gained enough political and monetary clout to put the fear of money and votes into politicians... well.. now it is a whole different story.
It is just really sad that my country has come to this. I truly hope that we can turn this place around someday. I think that as ridiculous as Obama has been - he has perhaps been the wake up call millions of 'sleepy' Americans have needed. I am hoping so anyway.
Just my .02 - and for all the Obama lovers out there - just let it be ok? Let's just agree to disagree and feel free to debate that in a diff thread.

As far as I know, Oregon is the only state thus far to ban the sale of e-cigs within their borders. I do know that NJoy is still selling their product at Kangaroo convenience stores here in South Carolina, as of 8/30/09, so it's definitely not nationwide.
I don't know if someone in Oregon can buy the products online and have it shipped to their Oregon address. I've never been clear myself on how that works...
Edit: Actually, I don't think even Oregon has outright banned their sale altogether. And Suffolk County in New York banned their use in public, but not their sale, AFAIK.
