As of now I start vaping for almost 3 weeks. My first kit is Volt from SI and my favorite flavor is watermelon. Lately I find myself not so happy with fill your own watermelon with Blank carto from SI. The taste and flavor not as good as when I got a prefilled cartos from them. The different is the prefilled cartos was 12mg. but I ordered 6 mg. liquid to refill. I believed I try almost every possible way to fill the cartos. Use spin method, condom, and let it sit overnight but still the flavor nothing compare when I first started it. I find myself more and more gran analog and go. Anyone have any suggestion of what I should do or try?

I plan to order more sampler cartos, and if I like any flavor I would then order a bottle of liquid along with prefilled cartos. I check a lot of website but a lot only sell liquid without prefilled cartos. I also check V4L and I might order some from them just not sure what flavor to order just yet. I also don't want order too many liquids that I might not like either because one of the reason to start e-cigs is to save money too.

just one opinion... I kept turning back to analogues until I started dripping... I am not a cartomizer guy... I find the flavor weak... the draw to be airy and it just wasn't satisfying to me. I have had some success with dual coil hr cartos on a 5v... but overall, I am a dripper...

to be a dripper... I suggest a 3.7 ego a handful of LR atomizers and a cool drip tip or two. as for juice... lots of good watermelons out there... my favs are BWB, vaporbomb and I always liked vapor station's dirty watermelon ;-)

hi,

As I understand it the different nic levels can effect the flavor, and you said the prefilled you liked where 12 mg, so maybe try 12 mg juice to refill. Also please keep in mind that as we vape our tastes change, what you liked when you started may taste awful to you after a few weeks. It works the other way around too, flavors you hated when you started you may find you love after a few weeks.

I know it is hard but please don't give up. It is worth it.

IMO, pink spots watermelon wave was the only watermelon that i have ever tried that tasted good to me. I vapid V4L juice and carts for almost 1 year before switching to a different setup (eGo). Now i use mods.

if you like the volt and the kr808 setup and you want to continue using pre filled carts, then you can try V4L. I enjoy them for about 1 month then started filling my own as it is cheaper. You can clean them (boiling them worked for me) and then refill with the right juice. If you also liked 12mg, i would not switch from 12mg. I started with 11mg, went back and forth with 11mg and analogs, then tried 18mg and was off cigs for good. been 2.5 years now vaping and I'm still on 18. 18 hits, tastes and feels perfect for me.

good luck :)

Wow. You definitely need to think longer term, both for your wallet, and (most importantly) your health.

So you can't afford to spend a lot of money all at once? Use a Quit Calculator like mine to reming you how much you would have been spending on cancerous stinkies. That should give you the incentive you need to persevere. When you have enough money 'saved' from stopping smoking, just spend THAT on new juice, or new equipment. That way you will know that you are not spending any more in the short term, and that you are saving in the long term (both financially and health-wise).

If there IS enough spare cash to invest a little, please please PLEASE try a few more things before you go back to something that you KNOW drastically increases your risk of cancer, makes you smell, costs a fortune, makes you cough, wheeze and snore, and leaves you short of breath. Don't do it for anyone else, do it for YOU. But if you won't do it for you, please do it for someone else. Me, for instance.

Sounds like you have only one flavor of juice, and that is all you are using?

After awhile most vapers simply get bored with the same flavor all the time.
That's why most of us have a few different flavors we like and we switch things up now and then.

There are not very many people that can be successful vapers using only one flavor.
And it sounds to me like you are having that problem.

Is there a reason you dropped your nic/ mg level down 50%? Smokeless Image is the first to admit their juices are not the best- their focus is on the hardware/ Volt. Vaping is very dehydrating and can have a huge negative impact on the vaping experience. Are you drinking lottsa water? I drink 1 1/2 liters per day.

I don't have only watermelon. I have ice menthol ry4 and a few from ECblend, so far I like watermelon the best, I like grape mix with peach too but not as much, I also some time vape menthol just to get off other flavor a while but not every day vape. I dont like cherry, chocolate and some on the sampler package. I felt that vanilla, RY4, peach, and apple are way too sweet for me.

The reason I reduce nic level from 12 to 6 mg. becuz I get quite a dizzy while vaping those 12 mg.

I got dizzy at 12mg too. You can always mix 12mg and 6mg to get 9mg. Or buy 8mg. It is always worth just playing around until you get a flavour and nicotine level that works for you. It doesn't have to be perfect yet, just something you can live with that keeps you off the stinkies. Your ideal vape can come later.

don't do it! I found it very difficult to pass the 3 week mark, and failed at around 18-20 days, on many occasions. Once I got past this point, there was no looking back. As others have mentioned, start-up costs can be higher due to the amount of trial and error that goes into finding a setup that works for you, but it's out there. Be persistent, spend the money up front and you'll find that it pays dividends, you'll be saving tons in the long run. Lurk the forums, ask for opinions and advice on different mods and juices - you'll find this community to be extremely helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. I still try new juices and parts with every order, as I'm sure we all do, looking for that elusive 'holy grail' of the vaping world.

If you had to dial back the nicotine content, you're probably not getting the throat-hit you're after. I would suggest trying a 'low resistance' cartomizer, as it will help in this area. Also, as someone above me mentioned, getting a drip tip and an atomizer will provide you with a very full-flavoured and hard-hitting vape. Keep calm and vape on my friend.

Justjames-

You're also hitting the 3 week mark, which for a lot of us was the beginning of the dreaded "flavor doldrums" time. It is a point where your taste buds are regrowing/repairing/getting used to not being fried by analogs every day. This can lead to a sharp drop off in taste and/or change of tastes. Mine only lasted about 2 weeks, but I've heard of people hitting over 1 month before it really starts coming back to them.

Couple of tips for getting through it:

1. Drink a lot of water!!! Vaping dehydrates you to begin with and the extra moisture helps speed the healing process.

2. Vape stronger flavors (cinnamons and mints do well) to actually taste something, or if you're comfortable with no taste, you can always vape flavorless.

3. Try switching up PG/VG ratios, not sure what mix your prefilled cartos came with, but if you're using a higher VG in the refill liquid you bought it will dull the flavor a bit.

4. Don't be afraid to experiment with flavors a bit, you mentioned you don't care much for sweets, try a coffee or dark chocolate vape. Grab a small 3-5 mL sample of something you won't expect to vape, you might be surprised.

Mine started 2 months in. I started using flavorings to help boost flavor. Now I vape juices that I said I never would because my taste buds are finally back. It's amazing how different it is.
