IMR 18650 Batteries

I've had a Lavatube for a few weeks now, and I got to thinking about the batteries.

Is 3.5v too high to switch out and charge it? I don't want to unintentionally shorten the lifespan

3.5 is about were you want to recharge them from what I understand.
