So I'm in the market for for a good charger for my batteries, what is every one using? It will need to charge 18650, 18500 and 18350 with or without spacers as I will buy them if needed.

I have seen the Pila chargers and as much as I would like to get one, at $45 + freight to Canada it seems a little out of my price range. After looking all day the best price i could find shipped here was $75.

So if you could let me know what you are using and where to grab it sub $50 shipped, I would for ever be in your debt.

Yeah I was already looking at both, $20 is a great price but makes one wonder about the quality, do these unit shut off after the cells are fully charged?

In 2 months of only using IMRs, nope, no battery explosion. It isn't that common really.

As to the trustfire being good to use, don't have any major complaints. I prefer to use my Pila, only use the TF on my 18350s since I don't have the extenders for the Pila and doubt I'll be paying US shipping for them (if anyone knows where to get these up here let me know!). I don't charge anything when I am asleep or away for longer than 15 minutes regardless of charger.

watched the whole review and noticed it wont do 18350's, and wont take spacers any other suggestions?

Watch the video on this page.

XTar WP2II 2 channel charger

How small is a 18350? I used google and it is 35 mm. Here is a picture of my xtar-wp2 with a 18650 in it and four spacers. With four spacers it should be able to fit a battery as small as 19 mill if I measured correctly (say 20 mill to be on the safe side). That is a really tiny battery

Cheapest you will find on the net (note if you don't need the car charger the wp2 price is reduced by $1.25):

Discount China Wholesale Xtar WP2 II Charger with Car Charger [2018]- $10.35 - PowerWholeSale
Discount China Wholesale XTAR SP2 3.6V/3.7V Li-ion battery charger with car charger [2796]- $17.70 - PowerWholeSale

I didn't get mine from the above site so can't comment on what they are like to deal with. From the pictures it looks like you only get two spacers for the WP2. OK I measured with only two spacers and it is 34 mm.

Unless you need the rapid charge option on the SP2 I think it is a waste of money to buy that charger.

Do the xtar or pila chargers have the auto-off feature like the trustfire one?

I don't think so and it isn't logical. Did you watch the videos?

I could be wrong but my understanding is once the battery is charged the pila drops down to a trickle charge. However that trickle charge is always on.

Once the battery is charged using the xtar it stops charging the battery. Then it every once in a while (no idea how often that is) checks the charge of the battery. If it has dropped it then starts to charge the battery again till it is charged up.

FYI my understanding about how chargers work is fairly limited so YMMV and don't take my word for it.

Well I appreciate all the help, but after mulling it over all night i decided to purchase the Pila with a couple spacers. I figure after all the good reviews i have read about the quality of the unit and how well it charges plus that it will hold it's value if I ever decide to sell it was what sold me in the end.

Whats that? You wanna know what I paid for it?

Well I'm not telling Muhahahahaha

I have a few chargers but I prefer my nitecore intelicharge V2..awesome unit for the price and also does niMH batteries..

Funny that you mentioned the nitecore charger as it was my second choice, I had read quite a few positive reviews on Flashlight forums and for $20 i still might grab one as a back up!!
